Amelia jumped, and turned to see Joshua. Surprised, the teacup slipped to the ground, rolling away. The handle was still woven grass blades, and she turned bright red at seeing Joshua watching her practice the magic.
"Thanks," she said, before frowning up at him, "You scared me! When did you get here? Are the others with you?"

Joshua smiled at Amelia, and bent down to pick up the teacup. "I just got here, Vicky told me where you were. The others are still at Rylans house, I decided to come back and see how you were."
After examining the teacup, he placed it back in Amelia's hand.

Amelia nodded, as she took the tea cup and waved her wand, turning it back to grass. The blades slipped from her hand, and she watched them fall to the ground as she turned to Joshua and asked, "How was Aura's home? Did everything go alright?"

Joshua stared at the grass for a second, shocked at the display of magic, before looking back up at Amelia.
"I wouldn't say it went well, no. The whole place is ruined, and a random man appeared, mouthing off about aura's family. Robby punched him in the face. "

"He did what now?!" cried Amelia, staring at Joshua in utter shock as he spoke, her face betraying her emotions as she stared at him in surprise. "What did the man say? Did Robby- Is he okay? Is the man alright?"

"The man came up saying that Auras family deserved everything they got, and waving a... well, a dagger around. Me and Rylan tried to defuse the situation, but Robby just ran in and punched him. Robby is okay, and so is the man, although in my opinion he deserved everything he got." Joshua sighed.

Amelia paled at the thought of Robby facing a dagger, and she took a deep breath of relief, "Did the man hurt anyone else? How was Aura? I can't imagine she took it well."

"He didn't hurt anyone, no." Joshua said reassuringly. "And Aura seemed pretty upset, but we looked after her. She's pretty brave."

"She has to be if she can still smile after today," said Amelia with a nod, as she leaned back against the barn, "Will she be okay with Rylan and Robby? Rylan's sweet, he can handle Robby, but will Aura be alright with them?"

"Yes, of course." Joshua nodded. "She seems to be getting along well with them both, Rylan especially!"

"Rylan especially?" said Amelia, grinning upwards at that, "And how does he seem to get along with her?"

"Rather well." Joshua laughed. "You might have an escape route!"

Amelia was grinning ear to ear as she glanced at Joshua, a smirk on her face. Clapping her hands delightedly she said, "Forget an escape route! Aura needs someone to rely on! And Rylan would be much better of with her than with a witch like myself! It's perfect! Now, I just need to figure out how to get them together."

Joshua couldn't help but laugh at the look on Amelia's face. "I'll help you! Rylan seems nice, and Aura seems lovely, so they should be a good match. Robby will probably try to block them getting together, though."

"Robby won't even notice until it's too late," said Amelia, making a face at the mention of her brother, before frowning, "He wasn't- I mean, he doesn't like her, does he?"

"I don't think so, no." Joshua frowned. "What did you think?"

"He acts like that around any woman," said Amelia with a shrug, "It would be different if he'd acted another way, but since he's not... I think we're in the clear. Besides, it's not like he would have been serious about Aura anyways. Now, let's get thinking, how does one bring together two very shy and polite people?"

"Hmm... I'm not quite sure." Joshua frowned. "I don't think I'd be the best matchmaker... Just get them to talk? Lock them in a darkened room? I'm terrible at this."

"You are, aren't you?" asked Amelia, giggling at the suggestions, "I'll ask Vicky for some advice. Maybe we can orchestrate something a little more, impressive. Oh! I know! What we need is a romantic atmosphere! They end up behind the barn, the lights are low as the sun is setting, some music barely in the air! It would be perfect!"

Joshua laughed. "It sounds like something out of a terrible romantic novel! Does that really work in real life?"

"How am I supposed to know?" asked Amelia with a pout, "I've never been behind the barn with anyone before! Well, except for you now, but that doesn't really count. We could try your suggestions, but that's hardly any fun. But- We have to move quickly! Rylan and Robby will be heading to the academy soon, and Aura's going to stay- Where?"

"Well, Vicky did say she wouldn't tell your brothers about you being behind here with me." Joshua grinned, but it quickly slipped off his face at what Amelia said next. "That's a point. Have you decided what you're doing about the hunters yet?"

Amelia raised an amused eyebrow at Vicky's comment, before biting her lower lip. She awkwardly lied and said, "Haven't a clue yet." Then continued on as though she hadn't very obviously lied and said, "Do you even know why it's such a big deal to be behind a barn with someone? Vicky's probably saved your life!"

"Of course I do." Joshua laughed. "I may not have that many friends my age, but I still know what goes on, you know."

Amelia chuckled, glad her lie was missed. She leaned back against the wall of the barn, when a brilliant idea came to her, "What if we get Rylan to save Aura? Girls like being rescued! We can make him into her hero!"

"But wouldn't that rely on Aura needing to be saved in the first place? I don't know if there are any shark infested rivers around here, but it might be taking it a bit far to dangle her over one." Joshua laughed.

"Find witches?" Felicia exclaimed, hardly paying attention to Aura now. "You're going off on some grand adventure to hunt magical people? Heavens, what for?" Her eyes were wide and worried, and then they darted to her son by everything but blood.
"What about you? Did Robby plan to drag you into this as well? I couldn't imagine you two separating like that, were you planning on telling us this?" Beside Felicia, Rylan's father was equally as surprised, though he let his Wife do the speaking.
"Er...." Rylan tried, "I was going to speak to you about that tonight..." He shot a glare toward his friend for spilling the beans like this.
Heather looked at Robby and her brother, wide eyes. "You're going to go fight witches???"

Robby immediately realized he'd screwed up, royally. He shut his mouth and stared between Felicia and Rylan, giving him an apologetic glance. He mouthed an apology to Robby, when he heard Heather's question. Giving an uneasy smile to the girl, he glanced at the family, all shocked. Leaning back into his chair, he nodded slowly. Trying to get the heat off Robby, he moved the attention to himself as he replied, "Er, yeah. I mean, it's good money, could give the family a leg up, and I mean, it gives me an opportunity to put some bad guys in the place for bad guys, and it's an adventure! I'm going to get trained first, so it shouldn't be that dangerous, right?"

Aura shakes her head at that statement. "do you truly believe that? While I hope neither one of you will get hurt, you can't honestly think that people won't get hurt?"

Robby threw Aura a dirty look, and then glanced at Heather and the rest of Rylan's family, trying to get her to gauge the situation. He countered it easily as he said, "Not when we have the proper training. Yes, I do expect it will be slightly dangerous, but not awfully so. And we'll be trained to deal with it."
---------------
Amelia pouted, and shrugged at Joshua, before grinning, "I could always magic one up. Or we could pretend she's being attacked. Would you be willing to play a thief?"
