I'm not sure if this is going to happen yet, but due to circumstances outside of my control, I may not be online as often for a long time. Just letting you guys know, because the last time I vanished a few of you got worried.

I'll try to be on when I can, but I'm not sure what the future holds. I'll know either tomorrow or sometime next week.

Edit: I think things going to be okay. Don't know for sure yet, but so far, so good. If everything does wind up being okay, I will probably turn this into a "personal discussion thread" or something like that.

Lol. Nice. I haven't much family left myself. A bit on my dad's side and a few on my mom's as well. Though my mother's side and I don't get along. I made the mistake of being open with them about being a bisexual and an Atheist, and now I'm basically the devil incarnate in their eyes. *shrugs* They're horrid people anyway. Kind of a hillbilly version of Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia as far as attitude goes.

That's sad. I'm pretty lucky in that sense because my mum's family is pretty liberal about anything. I could tell my gran that I got knocked up and her first response would be, congratulations. My dad's side is the weird ones. They're somewhat hypocritical. Anything goes if its their kids, but if its a neice or nephew, then they're the devil spawn

I know I'm blessed to have a large family that gets along well and loves each other. My dad has three brothers and I have thirteen cousins, six that are married, and seven first cousins once removed. I'm going out to Indiana for a family reunion/wedding (our family get-togethers always happen when there's a wedding) and I know we're all going to have a lot of fun visiting.

Dim: Thank you for your kind words. And that sounds great, Dim. I'm actually kind of envious. My mother died when I was young, but my dad and I do get along well. As for my mother's side, I don't see them anymore. There was a bit of an altercation and since then, they're out of my life for good. My dad's side is fun though. We've been getting together a lot lately making memories. It's been great!

Reminds me of the family of my father. We didn't have *any* contact with them for 30 years after he died, save with the (divorced) first wife of his brother and her daughter. The rest is a bunch of rather bigotted hypocrites or at least rather strange. Particularly the husband of my aunt. I've only recently have contact with my cousins from that side again, but they leave me rolling my eyes a lot. So I know how you feel.

Pinky-san seems like life is pretty tough for you and thought taking a year off from college to learn Braille sucked and the South is more irritating than anything between horrible speech patterns and culture shock it's rough especially being unable to read faces and expressions and being gay in a gay hating bigoted place is actually a little funny since half the things they say are utter ridiculous

*snicker* That is the lovely Kumagoro, the mascot of my first fandom, Gravitation. Before I was in to Harry Potter, I used to write Gravitation fanfics. Mostly on paper, but there are a couple on a site called gurabyteshon. I haven't been on it in years, though. Because Gravitation was my first fandom and got me into writing fanfics, I honor it with both my pic and user name.

Its fine Pinky-san I can see where you'd be a bit emotional there like said like sucks like that and I haven't gotten to Gravitation yet I've only been into anime for a few years now and I've had to switch from subs to dubs for obvious reasons and I'm deep into the Magical Girl deconstruction genre you know Princess Tutu and Puella Magi Madoka Magicka but I love my yaoi I recently finished with Maiden Rose which I blushed all the way through

My mother's family are lovely, but we had to cut off contact with my Dad's side of the family about 5 years ago. My dad has clinical depression and they decided that it was his fault, blamed my mum, claimed that he was an alcoholic and said that she was feeding his addictions. It wasn't nice. They all sent me christmas presents and I sent them back.
