Just Rotom and Swinub... Then I'll finally get National Pokedex. (Again). Then, I can start battling. (Again)

The only Pokemon game I've played is Ruby. Last playthrough, my team was Linoone, Mightyena, Gardevor, Swellow, Manectric, and Marshtomp. Basically, I used the same six Pokemon throughout the entire game.

In Ruby and Emerald I had Sceptile/Blaziken, Shiftry, Swellow, Gardevoir or Grumpig, Agron, Groudon, Manectric, Wailord, Torkoal I think

I did watch the first couple series, but I swear, the very existence of Pokemon was what put me off of anime for a very long time. The Gameboy games are pretty cool, though, just very very expensive.
But! I did write a fic once (just a jokey crossover thing).

Did anyone else ever get a Mankey next to Viridian city to help with beating Brock in Yellow? People online all say Butterfree is the only pokemon with an attack to really damage the rock pokemon but I found out on my 3rd playthrough that there were Mankey's there and they learn low kick at like, level 8 or something.
I have this on my iphone along with a lot of the other themes. Also have the first film score and Brother, My Brother. Used to have those karaoke songs from the end of the episodes like "Two perfect girls" and "Song of Jigglypuff". And of course the PokéRap

You can't get a water or grass type pokemon that early in the game. That's why people struggled so much with that first gym. You'd have to train up a Pikachu, Rattata or Pidgey up really high if you ever wanted to use them effectively. The only other choice would be Butterfree, which admittedly is pretty good against them but it's dangerous just to rely on the one pokémon. Which is why that routs is such a good find. You can get Mankey there, both Nidoran genders and Spearows.

I went with the mankey against Brock as well, Low Kick was extremely helpful against Onix as it was so heavy

Pikachu gets quick attack at level 16 I think. Anyone try that in Yellow against Brock? I wouldn't have the patience to do that. Did Brock's sprite in R/B ever scare you when you played him? With the music it scared me a bit but it made it sweeter when I beat him

How many Pokemon is it now?
I last recall was 251 pokemon when I lost interest with it.

Let's hope that the series reaches 1,000 pokemon. If they did reach that number it will just show how well the series longevity is compared to other games/shows.

It'll be crazy if it gets to 1000... I'll be laughing myself silly if they do. Hopefully, the next generation isn't so...random. I mean, a trashbag pokemon? Really?

Eh, maybe they will get someone with fresh ideas for the creature designs?

I wish I still had my pokemon games but I never did like the DS and newer models for gameboy.

I just use and emulator to play them because my sister stole my games.
I agree with the latest generation. Very unimaginitive. Ice cream cones?

I haven't played any of the fourth and fifth generations. They just seem too gimmicky to me. And the Pokemon are so unoriginal. More so the fifth generation than the fourth. The fourth generation Pokemon actually don't look that bad.

My favorite Pokemon is mew and a like the movies up to the one with Lucario. After that, I'm not a fan. I know the show is super popular, but I really just want to see a movie where Ash becomes a Pokemon master. Anyone else?
