Ah, good. Took me a moment, at first I was like "huh? The zoo incident certainly wasn't between ages 7-9!" then I realized that you were probably talking about the blue-wig incident I mentioned. XD

Guess that I'm too tired to think properly. Or too stressed. Exams tomorrow. Only had four hours of sleep last night. Probably will have three or less tonight.
Switching between three languages (Dutch, German, English) doesn't help either.

Nowhere near as fluent as the other two I mentioned, but I had exams in it today and I got a nice, passing grade (if they were OWLS or NEWTS, an "Exceeds Expectation", I think, maybe an EE- at worst).
My grammar is abominable, my spelling is okay, my pronunciation is good. I can fluently (or as good as fluently) understand and read it, though. Mainly my active use of it that's lacking.

Congrats, that sounds like you did very well German grammar isn't always easy, I know. You probably just need more practice in using it, then it comes easier - or at least that was how English worked out for me.

Thank you. =)
It's more like, I need to spend some time remembering the grammatical gender of certain words. Well, a lot of words.
Can't properly use declension if I have no bloody idea if it's, for example, der Schule or die Schule. (The latter, I know that one. XD)

English is often easier, the is so much more universal, isn't it? (Though I have problems with the male sun and female moon, as in German it's the other was around!)
Would it help to PM a bit with me in German? Feel free to just chat a bit with me if you want to.

Sounds fine, as long as you don't hold me mutilating the German grammar to a degree previously thought impossible against me.
(I can get that, but that's something they've gotten from the Romans (well, the Greek, really, through the Romans who took the Greek gods, gave them slightly different names and kept them as their own. XD), who had a Moongoddess and a Sungod.
Reason that it's different in German is because the Germanic/Teutonic and Norse people had a sungoddess and a moongod. XD)

Probably not -that- bad, but bad nonetheless. Let's see if I can't whip up a PM to start up our conversation in German. XD

You are selling yourself short, my dear! Your German is rather good, so don't give the others a bad idea about it.

Hey, nobody is perfect, Silenia! We all have fark ups at even the best of times, you know?

True, and the language I'm speaking of - German - is somewhere down the list as third or fourth (not sure) language when it comes to active use.
Not that I think I should be perfect. Just had a few too many people who looked at me online as though I was some kind of perfect cross-breed of human, angel and goddess, and perceived me to be unable to make any serious mistakes (or non-serious, for that matter) - so I got used to being a self-critic. If others won't do it, then that means I should.
I don't want to end up with the James-Potter-Draco-Malfoy-Peacock-Lockhart-Bighead-Syndrome. XD

As Kuma said, nobody is perfect. I know I make mistakes in English, too. Besides, seeing how some people can't even use their own language properly, you are excused for making a few mistakes now and then in a foreign language. What counts is that you try your best.

All that "Nobody's perfect"-talk, while true, reminds me of a rant of a cynical, philosophical character of mine. Not that I'd mind otherwise, but right now, I'm working on the story he's from, but it's a chapter where said character should not and hopefully will not show up. With said character repeating his rant near-verbatim, though, it's difficult to ignore him.
Yet I really don't want him in this chapter. He's supposed to be kidnapped by people on the other side of a country roughly the size of Germany in a time where using horses is one of the fastest, if not the fastest, means of travel.
True, true. I haven't noticed any mistakes you made in English so far, or at least, none that stuck out enough for me to remember. I know I make some mistakes in English (and in Dutch, my native tongue) at times too. Usually the result of typing too fast, or the opposite, lagging about five sentences behind what I'm thinking.
Or the simple, small typo resulting in an actually existing word, just with a different meaning, thus me not noticing it until after I've posted. XD

*snicker* Same here, I always think faster than I can type - and I am a very fast typer! The main source of my typos. Don't ask how many times I went back to edit posts ...

Lol, looks like most of us are pretty similar in things like that, based on the reactions.
