I don't like the pairing myself, but will allow myself to enjoy it if done well. Usually that's done in an extremely AU setting.

Well, that's a demand I'll sign gladly. Can't see that pairing work, not in a million years.

I stay far away from them and refuse to read it, even as a side pairing.

I can't see it for multiple reasons, but my main tiff is that Hermione just ends up this weak whiny little bitch that follows Draco around and cries at every little thing, and Draco's a sex god that's, (wait for it, I'm laughing as I type it) Ready? BRAVE
Draco = Brave
HAHAHAHAHA
"Wait until my father hears of this" I see his bravery. Oh just read between the lines, it's there.

LOL - Draco and brave? In the same sentence? No way in hell! ;D

Exactly Kitty. He never does anything on his own, he needs Crabbe and Goyle at his back (And why on earth would Hermione abandon Ron and Harry for that?), Pansy rubbing his belly, and his daddy holding his hand to get anywhere. The one time he has to earn honor on his own, he chickens out and almost kills two people on his own! Really? I see his bravery and his ability to stand up for himself.

I think it is a massive insult to Hermione to pair her with Draco.
I also remember one Draco/Hermione fan saying (and i quote) "Hermione is to good for Ron, she deserves someone better like Draco" and i was left speechless. I was struggling to figure out if the person who said it was taking the piss or not but after re-reading her quote she was deadily serious.

So true, gnovella. Draco was always quick to pick on others, but never could shoulder the consequences himself.
MySecret: But where would be the fun in that? ;D
Moocow, for once I agree with you. Draco and Hermione ... the mind boogles. Draco has always treated her like dirt, after all.

Haha, agreed Broken.
And Moocow, I sympathize. It's amazing how far people go to ignore the signs of disaster in that pair.

As I said before, I believe they don't really think about the canon characters, but about the actors when it comes to these pairings, and disregard everything canon says because they find the actors cute.

I don't know. I have a twisted side and Dramiones are fun with horror. Sorry if that offends people. Idk. But in the normal sense Dramiones are kinda fun when written WELL because we get to see Draco deal with all sorts of issues in his head about feeling affection for a muggleborn. But other than that meh.
Oh and while Draco and Hermione are questionable, we ALL have to admit... Tom and Emma would look so cute ! :3

I have never understood that as these days Tom looks around 15 years older than he actually is.

I don't personally ship Dramione but what if someone had written an AU in which, say, Draco broke away from his family in first year. Kind of like Sirius did but not as obviously, and it was so AU that Draco wasn't ... y'know, Malfoy-ish. Because I can see them working then. But then I just don't ship Ron/Hermione at all *ducks*, so it might just be me ...

Except Draco didn't do that and from what we saw in the books had no interest in doing that as he was very happy with his racism. Also even if he did (which he never would) it would not change the fact that Draco is a coward.

If people shut down story lines because the character didn't do something there would be no Fanfiction...

If people shut down story lines because the character didn't do something there would be no Fanfiction... Harry didn't suddenly start acting like Tinkerbell either. Doesn't mean someone should write fan fiction about the 0.0000001% chance that he would.
