I decided to make this thread so that we can share some of the best crossover fics for the Harry Potter fandom. I can't say that I know a lot of crossovers for Harry Potter but I have found some gems here or there. So if anyone has a crossover fic that they would like to share just post the name of the fic, author, or a link to the story here on this thread. For example, I recently found a very good HP/X-Men fic that I believe is one of the best MutantHarry fics to be made. Harry is not an overpowered god but is defintely smarter then he is in the Books. This story does have some bashing early on against Harry's friends but that clears up after awhile. Oh, and if your a Dumbledore or Snape fan, I would suggest you stay away because the two are given the whole nine yards when it comes to bashing. One of my friends is writing a Harry Potter/Downtown Abbey crossover. She showed me the first chapter and I really liked it, despite not having seen Downtown Abbey yet. I don't know if she's uploaded it on ff.net, but I'll check with her next time I see her.

Cool, I have not seen Downtown Abbey either but if it is a good story I may do some research. I just never thought that there was a whole lot of good crossovers for HP. I usually just skipped crossovers because they had Harry or Hermione automatically falling for someone. Thhe whole sudden romance thing does not do it for me.

The timing is ... well, completely AU, because I wanted a post-Sunnydale Xander and a summer-after-fourth-year Harry together. Independent, intelligent Harry. No superpowers. Canon compliant up to the meeting with Dumbledore, Snape, and Fudge after the Third Task. Any and all canon information introduced after that point, I picked and chose from. I had WAY too much fun writing that fic. I somehow managed to write 81k in 16 days ... a feat I'll probably never manage again. It's a fast-paced, rather fun kick-ass-and-take-names fic. From the reviews I got on it over at Twisting the Hellmouth (where I originally posted it), people very much approved of it. And while you're over that way, feel free to check out the rest. |

This is a Lord of the Rings crossover that I love. It is The Immortal Hero by Ravenclaw-Girl28. It is complete and it is told from Harry's point of view, he ends up getting sent to middle earth injured after everyone was killed at the final battle. It is really good the only thing I didn't like is that since it is from Harry's point of view you don't now what the fellowship is thinking. The author had planned an doing a type of sequel were the same story is told from the fellowships point of view but so far that hasn't happened. Still I have to say this is one of my favorite crossovers.

One of my favorite HP/LotR crossovers is the Wizard in the Shadows. the only problem with that story is that Harry is a bit overpowered but the dialogue between characters makes up for it. It was the Lost Efling but she rewrote it, made it longer and changed the name. I started wizard in the shadows but never finished it, I'll have to go back and give it another try.

Yeah, I almost gave up on The Wizard in the Shadow's too but the story really picked up after the ninth chapter. You can see that the author made a huge leap in writing because the story finally had more life to it; before that it seemed a bit forced in the narrative. The dialogue between Harry and Gandalf is downright hilarious.

I've been reading a History of a Teacher by Famous Fault. It's when Yugi's friends are killed by Death Eaters and Atem is stuck with Yugi. A few years later, he's invited to teach a History of Magic. The problem is, Umbridge gets suspicious of the puzzle and the spirit in it. It's a great crossover. I love it. It even has Rebecca and Raphael from the anime. By the way, I may have spoiled the ending to Yugioh so be warned! One of my favourite crossovers is with The Vampire Diaries. It's called A Rose Among Thorns by mario mm Here is the summary: Iris Potter better known as the Girl-Who-Lived, the war had finally ended wanting to forget what happened she turned to a small town named Mystic Falls. She is creature with a past that goes back a thousand years that she doesn't even know. I love this because its a gender bender story that really works well, and it even has bits of read the story like esc to it in the later chapters. One Crossover I really enjoyed was Dreams by Kirallie. It's a Harry/Itachi with a side of Kaka/Iru though so, yeah, Slash/Yaoi fans only I think. www.fanfiction.net/s/2914701/1/DreamsThe summary doesn't really put much across about the fic Harry and Itachi meet in dreams and don't know whether they are real or not. HP/NCIS is decent, when the author actually likes the characters of the story. I read a fic titled "The unusual case" I think, and the author basically took all of the shitty personality traits of the characters, and made those the only personality traits of the characters.
