So, who are your favorite writers? What stories of theirs do you like? It can be in any category.

Wizards-Pupil - Forbidden Bonds and its sequel called Legends, I Must Not Cause Trouble, Through a Nightmare Darkly, The Mist of Time, Yule, Marriage Mischief, What They Really Mean, Just Harry, Tale as Old as Time, Handcuff Horrors, Snipe, Song of the Midnight Moon. (Pretty much her whole story list. LOL!)

CJ.xox.Dancerella - Amazing Grace and its sequel Amazing Grace: 5 Years On.

I would put all my favorite "Read the book" authors, but that would be too long. Oh, and yes, I am/was a huge fan of High School Musical and Power Rangers, but that has sort of died out after I started to read Harry Potter. I also was into Lizzy McGuire, there was a really cool series but the author took it off to remake it into an original story.

I got several fav authors.
Kenchi618 in case of Naruto fic.
ramenrenegade for Naruto and recently 1Bleach fic.
In case of HP-fics, I found several over a period of time: swissdog, who basically got me into HP-ff. followed by
Epeefencer, Thelastzion. Kezzabear. These are mostly canon-pairing though.

Titansrule goes for AU fics, in case of pairings anyhow.

Of course a special credit to the CR-authors, combined with several crossover-stories.

Some of my favourite Harry Potter fic authors that come to mind-

Bobmin356 - For some reason their best fics are actually on a different site, but they have an account on fanfiction.net as well which has some of their fics. Their Sunset/Sunrise Over Britain series remains one of my favourite Harry Potter fics.
Robst - I've read and enjoyed most of his fics. Same with chem prof.
kb0 - Liked several of his/her fics. Harry Potter:Unchampion, Fate's Mistake and The Grass Is Always Greener are just three of the various fics I read and enjoyed by that author.

MaureenT and The Writer With No Name remain two of my favourite authors overall. Neither have ever written a Harry Potter fic (MaureenT writes Stargate SG1 fics mainly, The Writer With No Name writes in a number of fandoms) but both are excellent writers in my opinion.

Esama is the best in the crossover section or long stories. Doesn't update a lot but boy are they long.

Indeed. I wish she would update one of her HP/Holmes fics that I'm following but she said she gets distracted by new ideas easily and on her tumblr she a lot more fics up that she hasn't finished.

the author of Harry Potter and the Order of the Bleached Phoenix, and Bleach and the Half Blood Prince. You have to be fond of both fandom's. but it is written quite well, and it meshes unlike some crossovers.

Not at all. It uses the characters from the TT series and mixes the D.C. comic plots.

Darth Marrs has made some of my favorite HP stories though a few are crossover-like and anyone who reads Naruto should know of Lord of the Land of Fire who has some of the best Naruto and Rosario stories. Though nobody can forget JBern and I am horrified nobody mentioned him.

While I do love the Reading the Books series, one of my favorites that wasn't mentioned yet is little0bird's stories. It falls under slightly AU (generally canon though) post-DH and next generation stories.
