Urgent! Please read!

Hey gang. Sorry I've been gone for a few days. It was not an anticipated or desired break whatever.

I got hit by a nasty virus that ended up having to have my computer brought back to original specs ... which means I've lost ALL my information (including my bookmarks, woe)

ANYONE THAT HAS DOWNLOADED BETAD CHAPTERS FROM EMAILS I'VE SENT NEEDS TO GET THEIR COMPUTERS CHECKED ASAP!!!!! I have no idea when the virus first got onto my computer and there's a chance it piggybacked onto the chapters I attached to emails.

It was not pleasant at all. Fortunately, I've really not lost all that much. Other than the half-completed Vanishing Glass chapter, which I can redo, and an outline, which again I can redo, I had everything posted to ff.net already, thanks be.

Is slightly happy that I never participated in emails ect and I do feel Soo sorry for you..

Oh, that's horrible! Glad the damage wasn't too bad and you didn't lose too much, though even that loss is annoying enough. I hope your muse is going to behave and allow you to rewrite it quickly.

You should consider to do backups on a second HD - they can be just plugged in if necessary. I did it and am so glad - had to wipe my HD after a problem with a system update myself and would have lost everything on it if not for that backup. Such a total backup can store bookmarks and the like, too, not only files.
