UK in a town called Slough home to the building from the title sequence to The Office (UK version), and such greats as Isambard Kingdom Brunel (engineer deceased), Jimmy Carr (comedian) and "shudders" Geri Halliwell (former spice girl).

There's location in modifying your profile for a reason. Eh. ...LOOK AT IT. But if you want a bit more specific, I'm near Disneyheim. Well, the place isn't actually called that, but... it may as well be, for that area. Luckily, I'm outside of that zone, just barely. Now, use your sleuthing skills to figure things out! Yarr. We probably live fairly near each other then. I live about twenty minutes away from Disneyland in Irvine, CA. I live in the UK, north east Scotland to be specific. But currently I'm in Florida soaking up some sun You wouldn't happen to be related to the McKay/Mackay clan would you? I'm descended from a family who immigrated to Canada, and then my grandparents came to the US. Oh, and back to the flying car/hoverboard discussion for a moment, here's something that my interest you. www.bbc.com/news/technology-17626818Ok, first part, yeah, we live fairly close. I be further North of ya though. I'm in Fullerton. Also, the second part? Kinda freaky, as that was my Aunt who recently died maiden's name. Though I doubt they're from the same clan. Eh, not like I know much about her and her family, she kept well away from my family.

I live in a small town south of Fresno, California. I was born in Bakersfield, about two hours away, and was raised for 19 years in the Sierra Nevadas, an hour northeast of Bakersfield, three hours from where I am now. I am a California girl and I'm NOT proud of it. I so want to get out of California, it is crap here. I would do anything to go north, Montana or Idaho maybe.

US makes up the bulk, I suspect, but there are always some from more exotic places in Europe and Asia and elsewhere It's always great to see how people from all over the world love the same books, isn't it?

In my other board we have one, and a native American, and people from Israel and Venezuela and Mexico and Norway and many other places. Always fun to find out how far-reaching these online communities are.

You are the first one from there I got to know I'm a bit further south - Germany. But your home would explain why your brother can't be treated there - don't know too much about the Faroe Islands, but I think there aren't that many big cities with the necessary equipment?

The capital has only around 20.000 people. (I live there) The second biggest has only 5000. So there aren't too many equipment, and if you're seriously sick, you end straight on the plane to Denmark or somewhere else, but it's mostly Denmark.

Thought as much, yes. My hometown is not that well equipped, either, and it's around 40.000 people! We have to go to the bigger cities for that sort of thing, too. Must be a problem when you get seriously sick all of a sudden and they can't do anything at home.

Oh yeah...But I think they're good enough, but they aren't to much into that really serious stuff like cancer and yeah... But normal surgeons like... I don't know, uterus is getting to big and that kind of stuff, they can manage.

That's something handled at our hospital, too. The more - can we call it everyday stuff? The less specialised one?
Anyway, so far of the North I know Denmark more from driving through, but I've been in Norway and Iceland twice each and loved it there.

Heh, Iceland is a beautiful place. I've been there once. I've just been in Norway for three hours, so I don't know much of that country. I don't know about Denmark... Perhaps I've just been there to many times, that I'm bored of it. But it's wonderful, when the sun shines. It's warmer than Faroe Islands...

Yes, it is, and I want to get back to Iceland one day. Plus, I have an Iceland pony The Norwegian fjords were beautiful, too. As for Denmark, there it's for me like for you with Norway. But I remember the one night we spent on a camping place there - it was such a lovely spot. I am sure if one doesn't have to go just for medical purpose, but has the chance to explore the country, there will be many lovely places as well.

Well, I've been to Denmark many times before my brother went there for medical reasons (; It was the family's favorite place for a vacation. Perhaps I just want to go more exotic places like France or Italy. I would love to go to Greece or France. x)

I've been in France once, when I was twelve... Was mostly in Disneyland and one shopping trip in Paris, and then to a camping place, where I just swam and walked around in the camping place. I want to see the beautiful places of France. Got interested in the French revolution shortly after my France trip -.-

Too old for Disneyland History is always more interesting when you see the places for yourself. And it can make initially uninteresting places very interesting. That's how it was for me with Scotland - did read a series of books set there in the 18th century, then went to look at some stuff to find out how much of it was historical and how much invented, then I got my hands on a book about it and saw the photos - and was lost. In 2009 I finally got there, which in turn led me to South England, too ... the world is so big and there are way too many interesting places to visit.

I know... I got really interested in History shortly after, and I wanted to see castles... Versailles would be fun to see, mainly because I read one book about a french princess.. But beautiful places would be fabulous to see. I visited London for three years ago, and saw several beautiful places, and simply loved it. I've decided that I want to visit places and yeah... Not just a vacation in Mallorca and just be on the beach or the pool... That's boring. (That was my summer vacation).
