Who'd win in a fight: Gibbs or Snape?

No, not really. Flitwick's a bad fit. He's cheery and excitable, for one thing, where Ducky is more calm and just plain talkative, with a side of eccentric. Plus, Flitwick is a closet badass. I mean, Charms master and dueling champion, hello! Ducky's undeniably got hidden skills, but I've never gotten the impression he's got *that* level of badassery in him.

Ok, but I don't think that Ducky is quite that eccentric (not Dumbledore levels, certainly), and he's got a bit of baddass also (he's just not, you know, physically imposing).

Gibbs will win! No doubt about that. He's the ...sniper man, who has dozens of ways to kill Snape, whereas Snape has to point his wand, but Gibbs will probably have drawn his gun and shot him.

He might, I mean, Remus may not be reckless, but remember his anger with Harry, he has a temper. It just takes the right setting to make the wolf explode. And he was willing to kill Peter too.

He would have Gibbs help him, or even Tony. Remus just decided one day that they were in danger, despite the fact that they were in a war and EVERYONE was in danger, and he ran off. Then, he claimed his best friend would understand, or even do the same. Plus, Ducky seems fairly headstrong, while Remus seems incredibly weak willed.

I think it's mostly because Remus was beaten down by everyone. He gets beaten down by his fsmily (extended), then later on society, his friends towards the end of the first war (they thought he was a spy, and I'm damn sure Sirius would have been distant/hostile/rude/ with Remus or a combination of all three) and then again by society. By that point he'd probably lose a lot of his own will.
And at this point, Remus didn't have anyone, he had a few strangers in the Order he was just getting to befriend, but his closest friends were all gone. And an issue like feeling your a danger/useless to your wife and kid is something you talk about with a best friend, not the guys you've only known a few years from a monthly/bi-weekly meeting basis about issues not involving your personal life. He panicked and did what he thought was best.

I didn't see this topic until now. I so agree that Gibbs would win if it was between him and Snape. Ziva would win against Bellatrix for sure. I can't wait tell September so I can see what happens! The final made me cry. *Does not cry often*

Do you watch NCIS: LA? I've spent hours looking over the season finale and trying to figure it out, and if it goes the way they presented it, I'm not going to watch the show anymore lol.

I have to agree with a lot of the HP counterparts - especially Tony and Sirius and Kate and Hermione. Kate started out very uptight and by the books but with season 2 you finally got to see her start to loosen up and warm up to Tony and his jokes. (Oh gosh, the scene where they pretend to be a trailer trash/ghetto couple, I die laughing every single time.)

And don't count Ducky out on being a badass - I know we're talking about HP but if anyone's watched Buffy, I've always seen him as a Giles type. He's quiet, yes. But he can be a badass. He faced down Ari in season...2 or 3, I can't remember which and I distinctly remember an ep where Tony, Ziva, and Ducky were going to be attacked and Ducky took a guy out with a knife or something like that as well as a scene where he outbluffed and then took out some lady that was pretending to date him to kill him for revenge against him for something he did to her dad or...something. It's a bit murky. But, yeah, Ducky's a closet badass. He's quiet and giving advice but threaten his family and he'll kick your ass or face you down and he's so willing to give tough love.

Hmmm....what about Fornell? Who do you guys think his HP counterpart would be?

I might be able to see Fornell being Dumbledore, in the odd kind of way how he seems nice, but he's not afraid to manipulate people for what he wants.
