My dad's a workaholic I hope you don't have to leave Wingsy! I hope your tummy gets better. How's your brother's ex doing? I've decided not to go into work, it's only a volunteer thing. Kayleigh's fine thanks for asking.

Volunteering is a lot of fun, when you aren't feeling sick. And I'm glad she's feeling better!

Haha.
I don't really miss my dad. He's really nice, and all that, but we've never been close. When my sister chatted with him in phone, I got really annoyed, because that seems like he's close to all of my siblings, except myself.

Hahah. My parents always say that they don't have favorites of us four, but somehow I think they kind of favorite my brothers. I and my sister are to much trouble, whereas my brothers are more... I don't know. My youngest can be annoying, but he's only six. And when my other brother is annoying, well... He's sick, and then it goes on.

Yeah, it's hard in larger families. I'm sure it's just a passing feeling. You always feel that way when these things happen, but at least your parents don't openly ignore you. Not that mine do, so I can't complain much. Hey Wingsy, we can post in the Forest Thread a bit more if you want

My parents say they don't have favourites of us four either. And yet 2 live at home and the other 2 ran away so no one mentions them. then there's the aunts/auncles/grandparents that have their favourites..

Hahah, yeah ... My parents would never openly favorite one of us, but I kind of think if you have several children, it becomes difficult to not favorite one child, or something like that.

I have a large family. there's 4 of us then my mum has 5 siblings and my dad has 4 and then there's the mountains of cousins. Dads parents are still alive and favour other people. Mum's? We were the only ones to really visit then when they were still alive and I guess it stems from Mum being a kid but we've always been their favourites. I was nanna's, she was my idol which is why I'm trying to trace her family history.

I was thinking Jovianne and Maxy's coversation could flow for a bit, and we say Bastien's just listening? Or we can wait for Pinky if you want My ate grandmother was open about her favorites. My sister, my cousin brother, and my younger cousin sister. The rest of us were nice kids she'd pet on the head

Hahah. I don't really know who is the grandmother's favorites. But I'm not one of these, I know. I spend to much time alone. Like now. One of my grandmothers is alone downstairs, which is why I'm not one of their favorites.

I'm my other granny's favorite, since I usually sit with her a lot. She taught me to play flush poker and another variation of poker

With Nanna Mavis I always ran to her arms, snuggled up on the settee, listened to stories about random things. Always told Grandad in a childish voice that I hated his whiskers, listened to his stories of the War, the way he was meant to be gaurding the Italian prisoners of War but instead they'd be having fun. I truly do miss those times.
In terms of my research I know know that Nanna's mum was called Florence and her parents were called George William and Beatrice.

That's pretty cool I never got those memories since the majority of my grandparents passed before I turned ten, and my grandfathers before I was five My grandad fought in Burma during world war 2 against the Japanese. He was there when the Japanese surrendered, but I only know that from my dad's retelling of the stories. Wingsy, can Maxy hint at Jovianne's rejection soon? I want her to feel more guilty and try (but fail) to apologize.

Well in a way i'm still in the same boat as you ella. MyMaternal grandparents died in 97 and 99 and the paternal are still alive but never bother with us. I don't actually remember those times, it's just what I've been told by my Mum.

Mundia. I'd been on Ancestry at the same time and it gave me a hint for the name of my great grandad's 3rd wife's name. so I searched for it in Mundia and got it all there..
