Maybe Eolande could ask Calla to stay, and Calla's skeptical that Eolande can talk to trees so she urges her that way? I can see it that Calla's the cynical friend, and Eolande's the one who gets teased/encouraged by Calla?

Maybe Calla can just suggest that Eolande would hear better as a tree? Eolande will proceed to explain how she can't change, because the fire will come and take her like it took Momma. Then Calla can calm her down, tell her that she won't let the fire touch her. They can be good friends after that <3

Eolande can't be forced into a tree. If she did, she would be an emotional wreck and refuse to be within 30 feet of Calla. Anyways, if fear or anything could make her change, she would have changed when she first met Lucinda.

But Eolande can't be forced into a tree. She won't change simply because someone tells her too- it's pretty much her biggest fear- It's pretty solid in her mind that if she changes, then the Fire will steal her away.

Maybe this will clarify what we mean. Eolande: I can talk to trees! I can! Calla: Yeah, right. Just because you have some weird feelings, doesn't mean you can. Eolande: I can too! I used to with my mummy! Calla: Yes, but humans don't talk to trees. Eolande: But I could with mummy! We'd be trees and talk to them! Calla: So, be a tree and talk. Eolande: I can't. Calla: Why not? Eolande: The fire will get me Calla: Why? Eolande: That's what happened to mummy! Calle: (Explanation of battle and fire) Eolande: But what if? Calla: Well, I'm right here, and I have a wand, duh. I'll just magic it away, now stop wasting time and talk to the trees so I can find Yew! She's probably still upset! Eolande: Promise? Calla: Yeah, whatever, promise. Sort of like that. It's up to you guys how to do it and what to say thoipugh |
