Yeah, it was a completely deaf woman who "feels" the music and that's how she plays.

Evelyn Glennie, very famous Scot. She was the one at the front of the drummers, the woman with grey hair and bare feet.

I did enjoy the clip with Mr Bean. He's an interesting character to say the least. Also, did anyone like how Kenneth Branagh spoke the opening Shakespearean lines?
All in all, I enjoyed the ceremony and actually found it a bit more interesting than the Beijing one, which is the only other ceremony I clearly remember.

I'm going watch Basketball and Women's Beach Volleyball. I hoping to see May and Walsh become three-peat gold medal winners and I'm hoping to see the Dream Team add another gold medal.

I loved the opening ceremonies last night. The cauldron is really cool.
I want to watch the Men's 5K and 10K Running. A member of the Canadian team goes to my college.

I missed the opening ceremony. I did see a few of the tennis matches. I want to see swimming, but no one in my family watches sports.

Loved the opening ceremonies, except for that part with the teenagers and the cell phone. That was just weird. Also, giant Voldemort! I think that's the only time he's ever appeared remotely scary to me. I thought the Queen of Hearts was too, but shes always freaked me out.
As for the sports, I'll probably just stick to Gymnastics and swimming.

I'm going to the Olympic football tonight! I'm really excited, I get free tickets and didn't even find out I was going into yesterday night.

New zealand won 3-1, but I think one of their goals was an own goal from Cameroon. It looked that ways anyway.

I think Andy Murray might get through to the Quarter Finals. He's doing well against Marcos Baghdatis. One set all, Murray 4-3 up, third set.

The American Fab Five just got a gold in gymnastics yesterday. It's been awhile since they've gotten gold. Also, Phelps is now the most decorated Olympian.

Anyone hear about the Badminton issues, had four teams purposely try and throw their matches. Saw a bit of one the matches on website, it was so funny really as even a 3 year old could tell what they were doing.
And the US Female Beach Volleyball team nearly had a perfect record but lost one set in the match *sigh* it was the first and only Set they have ever lost in the Olympics.

For those who support team GB, you'll be pleased to know that Gemma Gibbons is guarranteed a medal in the 78kg Judo. She's in the final, and definitely going to get the Silver, but I'm praying for the Gold.

No, I didn't hear about the badminton. I don't think it's aired on the regular NBC channel. And yes, I saw the end of that volleyball match. I'm still glad they won the match, even though it was a bit disappointing that their streak ended.
