Henry raised an eyebrow, and nodded. He found himself truly enjoying Olivia's irritation with the matter, and her new determination.
"So, I'm guessing she won't be getting a quick, painless death then?" he asked, sipping his wine.

"Of course not. That would be wasted opportunity." A thrill of excitement came over her, as she thought of all the possible ways this could be used to her advantage. She could make Maxwell do anything, and still kill both him and the girl off. Or, better yet, send the girl to him a piece at a time... now that would send a message. She stood up. "I'll work to get Sewlyn removed from the school. It shouldn't be too hard - once I tell the others that he was ready to abandon his principles."

"Well," said Henry with a smile, "I can't wait. I'll follow up with more information when I can. It was nice talking to you today, and I hope our future meetings are just as successful."
He stood up as well, and moved from the table. His thoughts were filled with excitement and dread. He'd need to move carefully and precisely as to not avoid getting caught. The challenge was thrilling.

"Well, this should be interesting." Daniel said, brow raised, also standing up. "I take it we have planning to do, Olivia?"
"Yes, we do. Come Ewan, come Daniel. I think it's time we return home."
Olivia felt as if she were on top of the world. This time, things were going to go her way! Maxwell had better watch out...

Henry left shortly after Olivia. He'd settled his loyalties on two sides. Now it was up to him to figure out where to go and who to play. He wondered if anyone had ever played a game of chess on both sides, with two different people.

"Ewan, Henry has made mistakes, but we shouldn't hold it against him." Olivia said seriously. "If he pulls through with the kidnapping, that is how we know he can be trusted. If he backs out on his end of the deal, we back out on ours. Simple as that."

Olivia frowned. "Might I ask why you're suddenly against him? Henry has been honest with us, and risked my anger, in order to explain what he's been up to." Honestly, she couldn't see what the problem was.

That should have been Brayden, but it wasn't. I want him to see just what this war of his is going to cost him. Maxwell Rosebane is like one giant, looming dementor. And the whole world is his prey. If using one of his followers to stop him will work, what harm is there in it?"

"You boys are going to be the death of me!" There was a glimmer of a smile in her eyes though. She was greatly relieved that Ewan didn't seem to loathe her.

Olivia regarded him sadly. "I'm just worried, Ewan. My contacts are telling me that the Ministry is about to tighten their grip on werewolves even further. I'm afraid of what will happen if you remain here. At least in the forest, you'll have the protection of others like yourself."

Olivia felt the tears well up in her eyes, as she hugged her godson to her. "Of course, Maxy." she said, using his nickname for once. Normally, she didn't because Maxy was her nickname for Maxwell back in the day. "You take care of yourself, okay?"
