What's the origin of the name you used? The character sounds Chinese, but the name sounds Japanese.

The first name was my grandmothers before she changed it to the English name Mary. She was Japanese. The last name was slightly inspired by Naruto's last name, Uzumaki. I was trying to go for more Japanse rout since I know more about the language than I do Chinese. Does this help? And what do you think of the starting point?

I think it's good.
My problem is I can never come up with a good charrie until I have a picture, and a name. I have the pictures, but I'm stuck on name. I don't know anything and Asian naming practices, let alone medieval asian naming practices! So, It'll take a little while.

Are you going male or female? I know some names for both if you want suggestions. As for naming practices it usually, as far as I know, works like ours but when introducing you self you say your last name first.

Female; they were often considered more effective spys because the men didn't really notice them, thereby allowing them to get more information as the men didn't consider them a threat.
And I've looked at names, and they seem a lot different. I don't know, i've always been a bit intimidated by naming characters of other cultures xD. I'd love to hear your suggestions thought!

Well here are some first names that I know of; Sumiko, Rin, Sakura, Ichigo, and Usagi. Last names; Waada, Sumoto, Aino, and Hino. Hope see help.

Yes I do. I was sad to hear that the newer anime was being pushed back.  but you have to admit those are fun names. I would have to look more into some of the albums that we have for more ideas and I'm not sure where to begin with that. Did they help? |

Oh I just remembered another last name, Yamada. I think that's how it would be spelled. Any thoughts about the Emporer you were thinking of making? And do you want to have a magical seal on the documents that our characters send back?

They were! Well, the dad was, the mom was just a bit of an idiot, an oblivious idiot, who was probably spoon fed a story of how her daughter had really died. But she hasn't had contact with them since she became a servant.
What should the letter say?

I am think friendship since Ichiko would have been used to having friends when she worked as a servant. Ichiko is also calling her May-chan in her mind, we're just gonna say that she is half Chinese and half Japanse so her name make sense. Does this work for you?
