How do you think about the Harry Potter Ending?
I loved it first time I read it, but now I think it's ridiculous. The ending seemed more like an fairytale ending. "And then they lived happily ever after." I thought it was nice to see Harry with a family, but the way we know about it, like now the pureblood schemes were over, and no new Dark Lord rose again, and that kind of stuff.
But that's just my mind. How about you?

I liked the ending. You know, after seven books, I was glad that it ended in that way, as I'd come to care about the characters so much. It as kind of nice that they were finally happy, and I guess jk had to do a final ending so that she could let it go and then say she wouldn't do it again. I liked Harry's children, that was cute.

I was never much of a Ginny lover and I thought not informing their kids about what Harry did was stupid. I understand Harry doesn't want to talk abou it but he knows everyone is going to expect his kids to know and it makes them look bad if they don't. As for where I got that last part I always assumed when the kid asks why they were staring I thought it meant they didn't know what Harry had done.
Other than that I can't really think of any problems I had but it's been so long I've probably forgotten them

Oh god, yeah. I forgot about that. I completely disliked the fact that they didn't know anything, or it seemed like it. The way it was, it was like they had sheltered their children, and the children didn't play with anyone than their cousins. I mean... A new magical play-buddy would probably know who Harry Potter was, and yeah.
Well, I like Ginny.

I like Ginny myself too And I liked the ending, even the Albus Severus thing. But yeah, it was a bit too fairy-tale. I hated that the children didn't seem to have any knowledge of what he did! Talk about shocking when they go to school! I mean, I get not mentioning it, but really, that's ugh! Another thing that bothered me was that they didn't mention anyone else. I mean, Percy got a mention, and so did Neville and ugh, Malfoy *gags* but no mention of George (I suspected suicide for a bit...) or Luna, you know, the characters we all love to know things about.

Yeah. That's a good point. We only got to know that Harry, Ginny, Ron, Hermion, Malfoy, Percy had gotten married and children. (Why would Percy be there?), and a mention of Neville. I can't help wonder what happened to the rest of the characters, like the most members of the Weasley's, and yeah. I know who they married and what the children's name was, but it isn't the same thing.

It is nice to know that they got their happy end, but I still wasn't too happy with the ending. First, I strongly missed a transition chapter after the end of the battle, a chapter dealing with what happened with the Death Eaters, with them mourning the fallen, all that. The end was too much of a cheesy fairy tale. We learn only about a very few people, the rest is up in the air - not very satisfying.
As others said, it sounded like the Potter children didn't know about their dad's fame - something that makes no sense at all. Harry himself was thrown into the limelight with next to no warning and hated it. Does he really want his children go through the same? And how could they not know about it to begin with? Harry's the hero of their world, and everyone around them knows it.
And don't get me started on Albus Severus ... that turned my stomach.
A friend of mine was upset enough to cut the crapilogue epilogue out of the book.

I understand why JKR put the epilogue in the book and I even liked it as far as Harry's family goes but in the end the books were only supposed to guide the reader through Harry's "school" years and not through anything after. And because a book for children needs a happy ending and just shortly after the war there can not be a happy ending she needed to put a chapter in where she can put in a phrase like "all was well."
