Yeah. Snape seemed to have forgotten that he has turned to a bully himself. I think Snape was worse than James. James teased/bullied those who were equal to him. His fellow students. Snape did it as a professor, someone they're supposed to trust.
Yeah. Add blood traitor and the feud between Slytherin and Gryffindor, and then you have several willing Slytherin students.
Yeah. Sometimes I got confused. A bad guy suddenly turns out to actually a good one, and then some good guys get vilified... Urgh, no system.

Snape definitely became worse than the Marauders ever were. As you said, they targeted equals, while he did abuse his power. Badly. And they grew out of it, he got worse and worse.

Oh yes. Snape is bad. I love reading Lily & James fics ... Even though we haven't met them, they're some of my favorites. Probably because of their tragic love story. I consider getting killed young and leaving a baby as orphan is tragic in my mind.
I just love tragic stuff.

It did annoy how me how they went on and on about Lily's sacrifice when James told them to get out while he dealt with Voldemort. He didn't even had a wand with him. He could have just let Voldemort kill his family, but he thought he was giving them time to run by holding Voldemort off. That's just as honorable to me in my opinion.

Yeah. I'm off the opinion that James knew he was gonna die when he asked them to run. It probably happened so suddenly, but yeah. He knew it, I'm sure of it.

Snape definately had friends in Slytherin. Lily says so in Snape's memories in DH. Also on Pottermore it says that Snape is Draco's godfather and that would imply closeness with Lucius and Narcissa.
There is also no way that Snape took it lying down. He got back at Petunia when thay were children for being mean and I doubt he would give James any leeway.
As for James yes he targeted Snape but I think that had far more to do with jealousy over Lily than anything else. No one who has had a crush on someone as long as James had on Lily wouldn't notice that her best friend was in love with her and I'm positive that that is the source of his animosity with Snape.

Not sure how old Lucius is, but Narcissa was born 1955, so she was 5 years older than the Marauders and still at Hogwarts, yes. Plus, there were Avery and Mulciber.
It was partly his jealousy because Lily was friends with Snape, and partly the fact that Snape knew a lot of dark spells already when he started Hogwarts, as Sirius said. James didn't like the Dark Arts, after all. Or at least that's how I see it. Plus, he tried to find out Remus's secret, and we know he would have used it to get him expelled or worse. So, I can't blame the Marauders for not liking Snape much.

I just have to say that this question was really random as I had to read Oedipus for school this past week.
