I read Percy Jackson all except the spin off series. My library doesn't have it much to my disappointment. I really can't wait for Mark of Athena...even though I have two other books to read...I just can't wait!

I really don't know what to expect! But there's one thing that I'm really waiting for and it's ***SPOILERS*** Percy and Annabeth's meeting!! I waited the whole book for it and it didn't happened, I was so frustrated!!!! I wonder what will be Reyna/Jason/Piper thing, at the moment I don't have a ship, let's see what happens

I'm a big fan of the Percy Jackson books. Started reading them in 2008 and I have all the books for the original. I can't really get into the spin-off series. I think it is because of the whole second person writing style. I enjoyed the first person of the first five books because of Percy's thoughts on the monsters, gods, demigods, etc.

I probably wouldn't have been fond of Lost Hero if it didn't have Leo, but his thoughts and character acted as a good fill in for Percy. Piper and Jason are not that bad, just not as good compared to Percy.

Has anybody seen the Mark of Athena cover? I've just seen it and I can't deny it made me worry.

I love Percy Jackson! And I can't wait till MoA comes out. Rick Riorden really has a way of grabbing the readers attention. Anyone else read his other series the Kane Chronicles? It's set in the same universe even has mention of Drew and Lacy (daughters of Aphrodite, in Lost Hero)

***SPOILERS*** Has anybody seen the Mark of Athena cover? I've just seen it and I can't deny it made me worry. ***Spoilers*** Yes I have seen the cover and it looks brilliant, but implies that Percy and Jason are not going to get along which doesn't suprise me. As I thought there would be a clash of leadership.

Rick is brilliant at building suspense and creating hype for a book.

Its epic, you could wait until the next book in the series comes out (October I believe) and read them one after another.

You know, the PJO series actually got me interested in mythology after I read the third book. Since that time I have become a fan of the works by Homer, Sophocles, Virgil, etc. It is defintely interesting when you read about these myth's in a more serious mood then how Mr. Riordan writes them.

I loved mythology even before I've read Percy Jackson. I've read and reread the greek mythology stories since I could read. My favourite stories are still the Odyssey and Eros & Psyche. What are yours?

Rick plans of writing a book about the Norse gods once he is done with Percy Jackson. Which I cannot wait to read, as I love the way he mixes mythology with modern times.

Since I haven't seen it mentioned yet...
Besides PJO and HoO, Riordan also has his Kane Chronicles series, which are about the Egyptian gods. Sounds like he plans to make a full round of the different ancient religions.
Also, yea, his books probably taught me more about Greek mythology than any other single source. I remember being interested in Greek mythology for quite a while after I finished reading PJO.

I have the two books of Kane Chronicles but I haven't read them yet. I also have all five Percy Jackson books and the two books from Heroes of Olympus. Haven't read Son of Neptune yet either.
I hope he writes a book series about a lot of different gods. It would be really interesting if he would write about Norse gods! I really like their mythology as well! And I guess Heroes of Olympus is about Roman mythology.

The way he finished Lost Hero meant I couldn't wait for Son of Neptune and I ended up getting the book as soon as I could The same will go for Mark of Athena (the next book in the series) I read somewhere he plans to spend a year writing the 4th book in the Hereos of Olympus. So we will have to wait for books on the Norse Gods.

Well... I'm like this - I get into a phase and I can't get out of it until I lose interest for a while. It's like I can only watch TV Shows for a while and not do anything else, then read Harry Potter fanfics for a while, then watch anime, then read manga, then read Percy Jackson books,... it's a never ending cycle with me. I can multitask, sure, but when I'm into one thing, I'm usually not interested in anything else. ^^ll Strange, I know.
