Anyone watching second most prestigious international tournament in soccer/football? I'm rooting for Portugal, but I have a soft spot for England myself but with their dysfunction and injuries they probably won't win. It'll probably come down to Spain and Germany as usual but I can see the Netherlands or Portugal making a run.
Right now, I and pretty much everyone at the office is watching the Poland-Greece match. Very dramatic so far.

As long as we (England) don't get knocked out on penalties by Portugal or Germany as usual, I'm fine. Honestly, we english have got used to the letdown anyway

HAHA! True That! Rooting for my home country obviously. My backup was Greece but I didn't watch the match. Anyone know what the result was?

Poland and Greece drew, 1-1
And now Russia is killing the Czechs. 2-0 and we're not even 30 minutes in.

My bets are on Germany, although I would love for England to win.

The answer is easy.
Sweden is the winner, Denmark nr 2, after that i belive Germeny, Italy and the Spain. If England meet Sweden, the coming to lose with 2-3 goals.

If we get to the quarters, we'll be knocked out on penalties Its an English thing, it seems, to be awful at penalties. All the adverts on the TV have been taking the mickey out of it.

The irony of my last post is unbelievable. I was watching from behind a pillow, it was awful.
I watched The Notebook and England penalties yesterday. I know which was sadder.

I'm sorry, it's because Sweden didn't play with right team. If we had our really team we should go to second place in our group, and England should lost already, and we should have lost aganist italy.
So it ours false.

Yeah...England doesn't do so well at penalties. Everyone knew this was exactly how things would pan out against Italy. Now I'm not really supporting anyone.

I'm disappointed, but with our history I can't say I'm surprised. And even if we'd beaten Italy, I really don't think we'd have been able to beat Germany.

Yeah, not with the team we've got. Can I just say I think Milner is a complete idiot? I don't know what he was doing with the ball! He kept passing to places that didn't have anyone there to recieve it. Is it just me or does every other team seem so much faster at dribbling and passing than us? We seem to hover and never try to take the ball when there's tons of space in front of the other player that they can run in.

I think Parker did really well, and Joe Hart is the best goalie ever, but Rooney could have got a good few goals in because he was set up well but he just messed up, really

Yeah Rooney missed a good few shots. John Terry and Joe Hart did brilliantly. Wish Walcott could have maganed something when he came on but it wasn't to be.

We can't have it all, I guess. Considering Roy's only been in the job a month and we didn't even qualify four years ago, I'm really proud of what we did.

Yeah I think we did well all things considered. I don't think anyone really had much hope anyway so it's not like anyone is going to be seriously let down.

Better still, why don't we use some of the players from the lower divisions, ie Championship, League One and Two, it will definately give the players in the Premiership rest, especially with all the tournaments they do in Europe as well FA Cup and Carling Cup in England.
Anyway, Roy Hudgson didn't have the time needed to get the team he needed before heading into the Euro 2012, he had what 4 weeks, if that to get the team together and try and sort out any cracks before any big tournament.
I didn't watch the match against Italy, but did the penalties. The penalties actually got the highest rating on a single channel (BBC) for the past 10 years, with approximately 22 million tuning in for it.
I did want England to win in order to face Germany in order to lose against them. I am actually wanting Germany to win the tournament this time around.
Spain v Portugal (Wednesday) Germany v Italy (Thursday) Final on Sunday
You decide who you want to win the tournament now.

I'm not really all that bothered any more- I love watching my team play, but when I don't actually care about the outcome it seems pointless. I'll just watch the formula one instead

You're a Formula One fan too!? YAY! My Dad works for the Mclaren team so I think it should be obvious who I support. The last race seriously pissed me off! Last lap! Ugh! Stupid Maldonado!
Have you ever been to Silverstone?

I love Formula One My dad used to work on the Williams team, and I have a close friend who works at Red Bull, so I tend to cheer for them now. I'll be honest, I despise Hamilton and his whole behaviour to be honest, so I was quite pleased that he was knocked off the track. Throwing your steering wheel, which costs hundreds of thousands, if not millions of pounds? What is that? I have, once My dad goes every year though. And I might be going on a Red Bull factory tour soon!

Ahh... I'm not a lover of Red Bull, especially Vettel. I agree, Hamilton is a total douche. My dad says that when he comes to the factory he doesn't really talk to anyone or smile and thank them for their work, just says things like "I want this changed! Make that a bit smaller. I don't like my wing mirrors." Apparently Button is really nice though, but you can see that from TV. I've met David Coulthard and he's amazingly sweet. I had a picture with him when I was like 10. I've been to Silverstone 4 times and 2 of those were on my birthday. I had hoped that Raikonnen (who was on the team at the time) would have won on that day but he didn't .

Yeah, I've heard that too. Button seems like a nice guy, but I think that Vettel seems nice, especially after he was so gutted about his car breaking down but he still waved to all the fans as he walked back to the garage. He always thanks all the staff, too I'd love to go for an actual race, my dad always gets the best hospitality tickets because people know him, but I can never go I like Paul Di Resta, it'd be good if he won.

At McLaren, every worker gets one ticket each but loads of them don't fancy going so he asks for them so I can go with a friend. I don't think I'll go any more though. It is rather boring at times because you can't hear the commentary and the screens aren't all that clear so you can't see who's where. Sometimes you have to guess where eveyryne is when they pass you unless you can hear someone who has a portable TV who's telling people the positions.
I've been to the factpry before but it's not that special. I stood in the wind tunnel when it wasn't on and have been to a couple launch parties. That's where I met Coulthard.

Yeah, its probably easier to just watch it on the TV. I know my dad only goes for the atmosphere and the hospitality anyway Aww, that shoulds really cool! I really just want to meet all the drivers, and my dad knows Frank Williams and Ross Braun, because he used to work for them. Its funny, I'm probably the girliest girl you could meet, but I'm obsessed

Hehe. I'm probably not the girliest girl ever but I'm not Tomboy and I haven't missed a race for 10 years. I even make sure to record them all when I go on holiday and if they fail I make sure to track them down somewhere. I can't bear reading/watching the news and have them spoiling the results for me.

I used to, but we don't have Sky any more and I can't watch the races on their special channel. I have to settle for the bbc recaps for that, even though it isn't ideal.

Aww that sucks! I managed to convince my mum to get it. It helps that she enjoys watching it sometimes. I couldn't stand just watching the highlights.
It's funny, my dad doesn't even like the sport. He rarely watches the races and is only interested to know if he's going to get more money (they get a certain amount of xmas bonus money every time a driver finished on the podium).

Yeah, I know they used to do that when Red Bull was a smaller team, but now it would probably get a bit over the top Its funny, my dad has always loved it to bits. Since I can remember I've watched it, and loved it.
