Wooo summer! But if we want to be technical, it's still spring. Although, summer is by far my favorite time of year! Right next to fall.

I'm simply waiting for an Aussie or someone else who leaves in the Southern Hemisphere to say something. Anyway, yes, summer is great, but this is going to be a busy summer full of college preparations and the like.

It's like November here! For the whole of Britain! We're under one huge rain cloud that isn't going anywhere, unfortunately. Just swirling around and around.
We did have some freakishly hot weather in March though, getting up to 27 Celcius so maybe that was our mini summer?

it is pretty warm here, though it is windy. Pretty good for drying peaches, which is what we do where I live. Summer for me means more work. Fall and Spring are our off seasons.

I hate summer - way too hot. I'm surviving on two fans to my face and wearing wet shirts and having to wet my hair everytime it dries... it's that hot... and we don't have the AC unit. It's easiest to survive in the middle of spring when it's just the right temperature.

There's not much weather difference here, only longer daylight hours, really. Also, jobs don't really account for it, except to get slightly busier. Unemployment is the same way. So really, same old stuff here.

Summer in or around Houston, Texas is hell. The heat isn't that big of a problem. Granted, being in the 90's (mid 30s in Celsius) isn't exactly cool, but the humidity is what makes it unbearable. So yea, I don't like summer much except for the fact that I don't have much in the way of school to worry about. A lot of the time, I even wish I was back at school; as stressful as it can be, it's typically more fun than being at home.

I know what you mean about the humidity being the worst; lived in Tennessee for 25 years. Tennessee average high temperatures are usually in low to mid 90s as well. Moved up to Ohio a couple of years ago; it's so much nicer - almost always windy, with a high of about 81 today (27 C I think). Being near a ginormous lake is so wonderful; it's like being near an ocean in terms of cooling effects. I'll be honest though: A part of me can hardly wait for the fall semester. I love taking classes; my fiance says I'll likely be taking college classes until I die. Pity I can't stand idiots; otherwise I'd go for teaching. ;D

It's near winter over here in Australia, I haven't had a summer since February 2011. I was home in Wales during the Aussie summer, and I probably will be again this year. I don't mind winter - especially when it snows back home - but two full years of it is a bit much. At least it doesn't get as cold here and very rarely into the negative degrees, especially where we are - but its still rained pretty much every day for the past few weeks in Melbourne, and there is flooding everywhere.

We went to Africa for two months and so we had two summers pretty much. It was during their wet season and so it was hot and humid. 100 degree weather with 100% humidity ain't fun. When we came back we flew into D.C. right after a snowstorm had hit. That was a HUGE change in climate and we didn't have any warm clothing, we did have some sweaters, but they were very thin.

*snickers* Too right they didn't! Want to move to Australia! I like their weather. When it's hot it's okay because there's still a breeze and the humidity isn't suffocating.

It's almost Winter here in Brazil and I prefer this way because Summer is way too hot!! You sweat all the time and the more showers you get a day the better, it's horrible to sleep because it's too hot, the temperature is around 32° Celcius and I don't even live in the hottest part of the country! I like winter you can go under you blanket and stay there with a book and a hot drink.

While I agree with that, I prefer to be too hot than too cold. Hate it when my toes are cold and even a hot water bottle on them doesn't help.
