It's weird. When I found out about the purging on FFN, I was horribly depressed. Not only were my friends stories vanishing, but many of my favorites were gone too. I also feared for my own stories, and the idea of having my works forcefully ripped away was a scary thought. I was ready to give up on fanfiction all together. But then I found out about this lovely site, and the forum Point Given had made to ensure the survival of our stories. Thank you, Point! In a way, I like this better than FFN. It's a smaller community, but one that is filled with a lot of wonderful people! This small part of the internet has become one of my favorite places to lurk. Now the problems with FFN don't seem nearly as bad as they did. Thank you, Point Given! Thank you everyone! Let us move forward as we write our stories! Love you all! ~Kuma In Pink~

You said what I was thinking, too. At first I was quite annoyed and frustrated, but now I am having so much fun chatting here with everyone that I've at least stopped fuming

Let's just hope that this board isn't closed down any time soon - and that not one of those pesky purgers followed us here. ;D

I doubt the Purgers give a damn about our little site. We're small fish. Besides, Characters Reads are legal by the Fair Use copyright law. They can't do anything about it. >=[

That might be so. Won't stop hardcore trolls to make problems on the board though...
But you're right. Let's stay positive and be thankful for this great new start we've got here. ;D

Well, I'm sure we'll be able to handle trolls when/if the time comes. We're "battle hardened" in a fanfic sense... *laughs* I know that sounds lame, but that's the only way I can phrase it. And yes, let's be positive!

Plus, just tell Point they're causing problems and BAM they're banned, even if they keep making accounts, just keep banning them.

And I think he mentioned somewhere that proboards takes a rather dim view of people that act like the Critics United or that Lord Thingy with his deleting programme.

Yeah, borrowed the name there. Couldn't remember the name - don't want even to think about that guy. Besides, he's to fanfiction what Voldemort is to wizards, right?

His name is Lord Kelvin and he is an ass. Very rude and a huge grammer-Nazi with a God complex.

That's what I got from his Profile. At least we saw the leader of one of those groups speak down to him and reject his programmes.

Ah, Kelvin, yes. Thought itwas something with K, but couldn't remember and didn't want to look. Not worth my time, that one. Can he at least use grammar himself properly?

You would think ff.net would ban him since he created a bot for the site. That is one of the main TOS rules for ff.net yet he still uses it.

Yeah I don't think they care since he's "doing their work for them" in a way. And yes he can use decent grammar himself.

How ironic to delete people for disregard of the TOS while allowing their main drive behind it to do the same ... At least something. Seen too many reviews where people complain about the spelling and grammar of the author, but can't spell themselves.

I'm not the best at grammer when it comes to comma's and the use of to/too but when you use text abbreviations in stories or reviews it kind of ticks me off.

Same here. If you're going to complain, at least have the decency to do it with correct grammar yourself.

ARgh. Never, ever going to read a story using text speach! And I hate u for you(r) and all that. It's bad enough in a review, but in a story?

*shudders* I can't stand it either. Unless it is someone texting someone or using a computer or whatever but... ugh. That isn't writing.

*shudder* Never saw My Immortal, but did see that Jo Bekke *starts shaking* A look at the summary, and I ran as fast as I could!
Why on earth are these stories not deleted??

I read about 24 chapters of My Immortal. Maybe more. I think my soul shattered a little.

Sad to say this but I read the whole damn thing in one sitting. I had to wash my brain out rigt after that but it was my own damn fault for being bored. I'm still wanting those three hours of my life back.

Like Jo BeKke does? Or My Immortal? I am ridiculously happy that I have never taken a closer look at those. I fear they might have made my brain leak out of my ears... I shall never ever get close to those. Even if you post a link here. I will not, click on it. No, I will not. Won't. No. *shudder*

I've only ever read My Immortal as a fic where the canon characters read it. No way I'd have read the whole thing otherwise.
