Top 5 Video Games

I know that at least some of you are gamers and I was wonder what your top 5 video games are? I am more of an action-oriented kind of guy but I have played a surprising amount of other genres. You can also include a game series like Halo if it is to hard to pick just one.

I am not really going to be able to put together a top 5, but I enjoy games like Zelda and the Prince of Persia trilogy (I also enjoy the original Prince of Persia), and maybe some Tomb Raider games.

Right now the one I play the most is FEAR, which is a surprisingly creepy game.

Honestly, I have this habit of buying games and never playing them. I moved out of parent's house almost three years ago, and only just brought my games over a couple months back (but left the Wii, so I still can't play them).

All my time is taken up by work, reading, or TV. I am actually basing the fact that I like Tomb Raider on the original game for Windows, if you can believe it. Though I did pick up a couple games for Gameboy Color lately and liked one of them; it played a bit like the Prince of Persia game for GBA.



Oh, but I forgot, I haven't played it in years, but it deserves love. It is totally unlike any of the games anyone is likely to mention here, but www.kingdomofloathing.com is awesome. It is like this parody of RPGs, with stick figures. And impossible to spend too much time playing it, unless you are cheating by creating multiple accounts.

Currently, the only game I'm really playing right now is Diablo 3. Periodically I play Skyrim. Used to play World of Warcraft pretty heavily, but don't play anymore.

I am very fond of Lunar: Silver Star Story and Lunar 2, but those are for the original Playstation, so I avoid playing them often to preserve them. Same with a few of the other old-school RPGs.

But once Guild Wars 2 comes out, I'll be playing that often.

I'm not much of a gamer myself, but use to play a lot awhile back. I enjoyed a lot of the more light-hearted video games like Mario, Kirby, Pokemon, and some Lego games. And then there's Devil May Cry, I loved the 3rd game in that series.

Eh, I like shooting games and RPG's for the most part nowadays, but when I was younger, Nintendo was the shiz.

I only ever tend to play one game at a time, but there are some games I come back and will replay over and over again. I love Final Fantasy, especially IX and XII. I also love the Lego Harry Potter Games.

However, at uni, I don't have my playstation with me so I've started playing on my PC. I've been playing Guild Wars for a few years now, but at the moment I'm spending all my time playing Mass Effect and Dragon Age.

I'm a typical Nintendo fan. I love Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask and Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie (even if it's not Nintendo now.) I also love Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Luigi's Mansion, and Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door.

Well I haven't played a REAL video game in years... The hubby tried to get me into DnD... But I like games where you don't have to rely on others. Last time I played. Video games was with the original play station and N64... Wow I feel old.

There are a lot of them, but the mains ones go in this order, I think (starting with the N64). There are a few good mobile versions and there is a good one for the SNES or NES (I don't remember which) Link to the Past.

Ocarina of Time > Majora's Mask >
then it goes to the Gamecube
Windwaker >
then it goes to the Wii (Twilight Princess is on the Gamecube as well though)
Twilight Princess > Skyward Sword

Oh my god I used to play Spyro all the time when it first came out. Got so good at it that I could finish the first game with 100% completion in 1 hour. I miss the old school pokemon games: red and blue were where it was at! Silver and Gold were good too, but the ones after that weren't as good.

I do have Pokemon Snap on my Wii, but once you've found all the Pokemon, there's not much else to do. I would definitely enjoy a new Wii version with more pokemon and zones, with an option to just walk around the "world" and take pictures!

I have only just now started playing the first Dragon Age but I have played each Mass Effect game. In those three games I usually went with Tali, Garrus, Jack, and Ashley as Shepards LI. I just can't see Fem Shep with anyone else but Garrus. Hell, when he took the rocket to the face in the second game the way Shep reacted to just hinted at a future romance. My favorite pairing is still Tali and Male Shep since those two just go perfect together in my eyes.

I can't stand Kaiden, Liara, James, and Miranda being the love interest since I believe them to be the most shallow picks. Kaiden and James are just about interchangable in their personalities and seem to just be their in the game. I always thought Liara was more of a sister then lover because of her near child like reactions in the first game. I have a lot of dislikes for Miranda that I could spend hours discussing, so lets just say she is to muc of a control freak and be done with it.

OMG! I would LOVE for there to be a second game. So many more pokemon to catch pictures of! It could be much bigger on the Wii than it was on the N64. My brother told me once that the Official Nintendo Magazaine had announced that it would come out on the 3DS and I got so excited! Then he laughed in my face and said he was lying. It made me hate the 3DS slightly for not having it. XD

Same here, I can't see my fem!Shep with anyone other than Garrus. He's such a great character - the best one in the whole series in my opinion.

I also can't stand Kaidan and usually let him get killed on Virmire. Cruel, I know. But I just can't stand it when he sighs all the time. I like Ashley but I dislike her racism. She's got a good character otherwise. And don't get me started on Jack and Miranda either.

Tali is great! I usually take her and Garrus with me as my teammates to whatever planet unless a character is locked in and then I just take Garrus. Can you tell he's my favourite? ;D

I know it's sad that she was a Cerberus Guinea pig but tone down the cursing a bit, geeze. Tali in ME2 really stood out to me because of how much progress her character made in the two year time skip. It also helps that every scene with her is so downright funny with how flustered she becomes.

Yeah, they really fleshed out Tali.

How far have you come in Dragon Age? And what do you think of the characters introduced in that one so far?

How far have you come in Dragon Age? And what do you think of the characters introduced in that one so far?

I just bought the Dragon Age: Ultimate Edition last week and have gotten about 15% into the game since than. I am playing as an elf and so far the characters have been really lifelike in their personalities. I am hoping to beat the game before August so I'll keep you updated on my thoughts of the game if that is okay with you?

Sure I don't mind. I usually play as a female noble if I want to marry Alistair, but as a Dalish Elf if I want to be with Zevran. To each their own I suppose. ;D
