Have you seen the one with Arnold Schwarzenagger as Mr.Freeze? And the ice puns? Oh god *shudders*

*gags* Arnold as Freeze was just wrong! *cries at the horrific memory that brain bleach couldn't erase*

Have you seen the one with Arnold Schwarzenagger as Mr.Freeze? And the ice puns? Oh god *shudders* After watching that movie I was almost put off from Batman. How DC allowed that train wreck to be released is beyond me to this day.

I thought it was hilarious myself... But that's probably due to the fact I like to term his time of our state governor as the governator. Also, this house is so chock full of puns and other stuff that people need brain bleach for that I've become somewhat inured to this sort of stuff. Well, at least stuff like Arnold as Mr. Freeze.

Arnold just doesn't fit. Mr. Freeze is supposed to be cold and calculated... Arnold is too dynamic for the part!

True, but then... that storyline got off how the villians were long before they put Arnie as Mr. Freeze. That, and I didn't realize when I first saw the movie how Mr. Freeze was suppose to be cold and calculated. That probably helped a lot.

The puns! The awful puns! I agree with codygotkilld, it was a nightmare that DC should still mourn over!

Haha, you probably wouldn't last long in this house if you can't stand the bad puns. As it is, you might take it as some form of pun-ishment. *coughs*

Not funny trilonias. I agree, Batman uses puns, but really? The puns are meant to have a sadist side, not be ridiculousy terrible. I mean, everything Heath Ledger said had two sides to it, the funny side, and the batshit insane side.

True. But my bad pun still stands! Though I do agree on the type of puns and jokes involved. And yeah, Heath Ledger did a great job as the joker... thing is, did he delve too deep, thus his... premature death?

Yeah, makes you have a whole new appreciation for the Joker as a character, and Ledger for going that length.

I loved watching Batman The Animated Series back in the '90's. Mark Hamill was excellent as the Joker in that series. And yes, it's that Mark Hamill: from Jedi Knight to Clown Prince of Crime.

Batman The Animated Series was beautifully done! I loved every episode of it. <3

Generally speaking, the animated versions are usually so much better than the movies.
Anyone remember the X-Men: Animated Series? That's still a favorite of mine, and I just love Gambit despite his dastardly ways. Between Batman and X-men, I think I was doomed to love comics in all their glory.

Likewise! My favorite from the series were Gambit and Storm. Especially Storm. She exuded an air of power, confidence and hell, her powers were cool too.

I loved Gambit and Rogue. Their accents, their hot damn-ness, and Rogue's power just was pretty cool. Storm was a close second to the two. I was terrified of Professor X, the fact that he has mind control freaks me out a bit.

Beast! He was so adorable! And Wolverine, all that angst, he's a bit overrated, but easy to see why. I loved Wolverine, he was like, the hero of all heroes in my eyes, well, for the X-Men.

Wolverine is cool, I'll give you that. Gnovella, have you ever seen the Teen Titans cartoon or read the original 80's comics? I'm asking because I want to discuss Slade. :3

I have four words for you,
They're bringing it back.
I'm totally serious. Next year, Teen Titans is coming back! *SQUEALS LIKE THE FANGIRL SHE IS*
I loved that show though, (I wonder if it wasn't clear) and Beast Boy was my favorite.
Slade was like the perfect DC villain in being dark, fleshed out immensely, and utterly creepy and awful at the same time. I still don't know whether he's really dead or not. I mean, every time I was convinced he's gone, he'd pop back from no where, effectively blindsiding me.

Wait, what? For real? FECK YES! *victory dance* I loved all the characters, though Robin is my favorite Titan. Though probably because Robin is so very obviously the Richard Grayson one - my favorite out of all of them! I loved Slade from the get-go! He's one of those refined/intelligent villains and very good at being one. He really stands out against the bright, almost comical bad guys in Jump, and plays the perfect foil to Robin. Know what would be perfect, in my book? If Teen Titans started showing more of the adult superheroes, like they did with Doom Patrol! Especially if Batman appeared in an episode... or better yet... Batman and Slade! Oh, I get excited just thinking about that! *fangasims* x3

I love Dick Grayson, he's so perfect to Batman, and then he leaves, and I'm like, no, come back, I'm begging you. And then Jason Todd dies 0.o. Tim Drake never did much for me, the chick Stephanie sucked, plus I think I needed a male, I guess.
As for Slade being the perfect foil, he really is. He's the Joker to Robin's Batman.
Adult superheroes, in Teen Titan.
*Mind attempts to wrap around idea, short circuits, enters world where Teen Titans and superheroes exist together in one giant awesome collaboration, never to be seen again*

Oh how wonderful it would be, am I right? Dick Grayson is well, made of awesome. I think he almost outdid Batman as Batman.

Dick Grayson is destined to be Batman the second, if they need it. I refuse to consider any of the other Robins taking the role. screenrant.com/cartoon-network-teen-titans-go-yman-178357/That tells you what the new show will be like. I'm a bit bummed since they're focusing more on comedy than on darker undertones, and the drawing style changes up, but hey, the original voice cast is being used!

Yeah, that bums me out a little too, but I'm gonna watch it anyway: Teen Titans is Teen Titans. And who knows, they might decide to do a little something dramatic. *hopeful* The design throws me off, but hey, it's Teen Titans.

I found out when I heard Cartoon Network was coming back to Canada, and adding the classics like Dexter's Laboratory, Powerpuff girls, and The Grim Adventures of Bill and Mandy. Those were some of my favorites as a kid. I think I spent the day running around telling random people this fact. And I'm glad I made your day

In the comics, Dick Grayson did take over as Batman for a little while. But this was back in the mid to late 90's, shortly after Bruce Wayne recovered from being almost killed by Bane and having to wrest the Batman identity from Jean Paul (who went crazy).
