ok, I don't believe this has been done yet, but what are you most favorite scenes from the HP movies? What are the scenes that you think were the most awkward?

I believe the kissing scenes were the most awkward. Ron looks like he is devouring the poor girl and Harry looks like he doesn't like it at all, he is so stiff and he doesn't even hold her (the same with the girl who he is kissing.)!

I have four favorite scenes; the one in PoA where Harry covers Hermione when Werewolf Remus finds them, the one in HBP where Harry comforts Hermione after seeing Ron and Lavender, the one in DH1 where Harry and Ron rescue Hermione in Malfoy Manor, and the one in DH2 where Harry goes and tells Hermione and Ron what he is going to do and Hermione tells him she would go with him (that made my heart melt).

The whole Ron takes the love potion scene in HBP. For some reason that scene still breaks me when I watch it.

THIS! And the Felix Felicis... Harry was hilarious!

I like the Chamber of Secrets scene. And Snape jumping in front of the trio when Remus goes for them (that's true courage, especially after what happened when they were at school), and Harry's floppy arm in CoS.

Don't have one, only saw the first two movies before giving up, and I can't remember them very well. I'll watch LotR any time, though.

I dont know if I would consider it a favorite scene, but the very last scene of DH1. When I first saw it, the friend I was with leaned over and whispered, "I wonder if ol' Voldie is into necrophila?" I almost cracked up in the theater. It was terrible because I still had tears about Dobby. Now every time I see it I snicker.

That scene in POA where Snape protects the trio is by far my favorite scene of him (in the movies) that is how I saw him. A teacher who was willing to protect the students even when he didn't like them, because that was what he was supposed to do (that's what I though, that may be why I never thought it was strange that he saved him in the first book and never got why anyobody thought it was weird)

Other favorite scenes are the hug scene at the end of COS (Hermoini/Harry), Harry comforting her in HBP, The scene in deathly hallows where he tells them what he's going to do and she tells him she'll go with him, Sirius and harry at the beggining of OOP when they see each other again and Dobby's death

I think the Graveyard and Umbridge Detention scenes are my favorites. They're chilling and disturbing. Plus Umbridge's line of "Deep down, you deserve to be punished." is rather unnerving. Especially when we consider that Harry is an abused child and probably does believe this on some level.

Then there is the WWW scene in HBP. I hated that movie as a whole, but I loved seeing the joke shop! It was brilliant!

I also think the Dursley scenes in SS, CoS and PoA are done pretty well too. You can tell just how much they loathe Harry, and Vernon gets a bit violent. The actors did a splendid job conveying those darker emotions.

Agreed on the Dursley part, though I don't like that they got Petunia and Dudley's hair wrong. They're both supposed to be blond(e) but whatever.

I personally love the First Task and the Graveyard. Flying against the dragon was brilliant.

The hair is wrong, but I think Fiona Shaw is the perfect Petunia otherwise.

Yeah, I think she fit the role really well, but the films actually made me forget for a while that she was blonde in the books. That bugged me a bit when I re-read them.

I've always liked their forest detention scene.

And I think the casting in general was brilliant. I didn't like how they did Tonks' hair. It didn't look like hair at all to me, just a very messy, badly dyed wig.

I did like the snatchers though, Scabior especially. That secene where they are running from them through the forest and dodging spells .

I think one of the best things about DH was when Hermione and Harry at the Potter graves.

I think I actually like the entirety of those the DH films. Especially Mcgonagall saying "Boom". I cracked up at that!

Oh, I definitely agree on that. He just completely lost it in the last 2 films. Maye it was the lack of remaining soul. I loved the hug scene too! Was so freaking hilarious! Poor Draco's face XD

I like the Unbreakable Vow scene too, though I think Narcissa's hair was horrific. I'm not too keen on her actress either. I always envision her as a stunning blonde with a bit of an upturned nose.

- Ron while being beat up by Whomping Willow... "My wand... look at my wand!"
- Luna Lovegood's scenes... all of them
- Snape jumping in front of the trio in PoA while Lupin was transformed
- McGonagall about Seamus's pyromancy in DH2
- Snape's death
- Harry in GoF when he smiled at Cho and his pumpkin juice went out of his mouth
- Ron and his dress robes in GoF
- Ron's expressions in all the movies
- the "Ferret" scene
- Neville in DA2... "You and what army?"
- the Chamber of Secrets fight scene
- the Possession in OotP

and many many more

Scenes I DON'T like are the kiss scenes between Harry/Cho and Harry/Ginny. Am I the only one who thinks he looks ridculously awkward and stiff? Like in a Japanese Drama where the girl just stands there wide-eyed and gives nothing back?

Alos don't like it when he dribbles the drink in repsonse to Cho looking at him... Makes me want to bash my head against a wall.

Yeah, I thought so as well. I don't like the kiss scenes. Even Hermione and Harry kissing looks more like Emma's trying to eat Daniel instead of kissing. XD And I remember Daniel mentioning something about Emma being an animal in an interview. Fitting, don't you think?

I love how they did all the creatures. I want my own Hippogryff! they're so pretty. I've actually had a dream about a pet shop selling one called Fireflank and a Thestral. I bought them both, obviously.

Me too! It really annoyed me when he was in the games and not the films. Him and Winky. And how they replaced Dobby with Neville in GOF (with the gillyweed).
