I was personally let down it tried too hard to piggyback on the Last Airbender

I've yet to watch it, but most of my friends absolutely love the show.

Meh...it's a big disappointment after having seen Avatar. No, it just doesn't have a good feel to it.

I just generally don't like steampunk. It's a completely different world than what we had before. It's only been about 70 years probably, but in all that time we have cars and flying machines and electricity.
And pro-bending. Which is meant to be like professional wrestling but ended up more like dodge ball.

I really loved it. All the little references and such about Aang, Sokka, Toph, Katara, Zuko and the others were so bittersweet! It certainly was different from the original series, but then, I didn't expect it to be that similar. After all, it 70 years in the future with only two and all the original characters still alive. The only thing that disappointed me was the Makorra ending.

Also how Bolin was treated by the creators.

I think that it's garbage. I've tried watching it, more than once, but unlike Avatar where I kept coming back for more, this one had me trying to avoid it. It's just so boring.

I saw the first few episodes but it didn't impress me all that much. I am thinking of trying to watch it again though.

I liked the drawing style, it felt less cartoon-like and more sophisticated then the Last Airbender, but the story was a major let down. It was to fast paced, with not much character development, and a somewhat forced season finale. It felt way more artificial with all the technology that they added, and I wasn't satisfied with the action versus storyline ratio. I don't know if I want to watch season 2 or not.

The style is really good but I think it was to big of a time-skip. The whole 70 years since TLA kind of leaves me scratching my head about what happened during that time. how in the world did they become so industrialized in such a short time? If it was 30 years in the future I would be fine since some of the original characters could be included. I have only watched 5 episodes and since Nick is down on my TV I have not been able to watch it fully.

LoK...well it's not the original Avatar. The bending wrestling was incredibly boring. Really, after Avatar: The Last Airbender when there was bending of such a huge scale and proportions, I was so bored with the tiny bending. Mekorra ending...I don't know on one side I was giddy that it's like Aang (well Korra IS his next life) and Zuko but on the other I felt so sorry for Asami.

I really enjoyed it. I thought pro-bending was neat. Loved Amon as a villain, and that season finale definitely had me on the verge of tears a couple of times.
