Thank you! I thought I was going to die when I heard that the books were being deleted from FFNET. I hope it is ok, but I messaged a few other "read the book" writers about this.

There should be a large group of people who can spread the link to this forum around to all the different "Reading the Books" fic authors.

Thanks guys. ginnyrules27 will be hosting her fics here as well. I'm still going to be posting on Fanfiction.net, but I'll also be posting here as well. My goal is to create a seperate community for these types of books because these deletions happen every few months or so, and will eventually affect all of us.

This really is great! Agree that people should let the other FFnet authors know about this page. Is there a way to subscribe to authors on this so that we get alerted to new chapters?

I agree on this Why all they delete all Character read stories now. Should they (admins on Fanfaction) had rule on this in the beginning?

I love this! Seriously! When I heard it from RoseDragonWitch I was excited. Reading the Books fanfics is where I got my start in HP fanfics thank you so much Point Given for making this! You are a lifesaver!

Thanks for getting this set up. It's a really nice place to have as an online backup. Also, 'Reading-the-books' fics are some of my all time favorite stories.

I'm trying to get as many authors over here as possible. Every time I get an update email for a "read the books" fic I send the author a message to let them know about this site.

A fair few seem to know now.
Is the problem with "reading the series fics" only applying to Harry Potter? Or have other fics like Percy Jackosn characters reading the series fics been affected as well?

So far Harry Potter fics are only allowed. I might relax the rule though at a later date, but for now I want to make sure everything is organized.

All you have to do is click "bookmark" at the top left and go to your profile under "bookmarks" and set it to email notification. You can't follow individual boards though, which defeats the purpose of following actual fics on these forums. |

It would be a little extra work, but maybe we could have a thread which was only for the author posting to it when there is an update (one per board), and we could follow that.

Thank you very much for this forum, all my favorites authors are here, and now I can rest knowing I´ll be able to enjoy their great creativity figuring the personality of HP´s characters, keep going and good luck!

I know a few fics where the HP characters are reading the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series with the PJO characters, and one where the author plans to have them both(HP and PJO) read the PJO series and then the HP series and then the aftermath of both. |

This is brilliant. I'm going to pass this on to one of my friends, PadfootProngsletMoony, who just started a fic like this, so that she doesn't get deleted.
Though, aren't you at all worried that this will either get spammed or deleted as well?
