I just re-read the "Vanishing Glass" chapter. And I still think it's great. ;D It also inspired me to re-work my own next chapter, to bring out the Founders personalities in it more - perhaps even add a bit of dialect. Don't get this wrong, but I really want "my" founders to sound different to "yours". Oh, and what really intrigues me about the "Vanishing Glass" chapter is the hint that Salazar doesn't actually have children, or at least that Voldy would be descended from Sal's sister. That's a nice touch. It really makes me looking forward to the second book and Sal's reaction to Tom's presumption of being "the Heir of Slytherin"...

Thank you I'm really excited about your version of the founders, although it is going to feel a bit strange. I've got all the backstories for mine so fixed in my head now tht it always takes me a while to adapt to reading other people's. Can't wait though Yep, my Salazar has no kids. He's really not going to be happy about Tommy's claims. He's not going to be happy about most of the second book tbh... And I've got something else planned regarding descendents for the next book too. I'm really excited about writing that one.

Backstory for my version of the founders is not yet fully established. But I've got their current family states cleared up for myself, and I know that they're still in their first years of Hogwarts, so they're still highly motivated about it all. And my Salazar does have children (two daughters, one little boy) - even though he hasn't seen them much over the last years (building Hogwarts is a time consuming enterprise...). Now, if I could just get the Norfork dialect to work... *rofl* I'm really looking forward to reading your take on the next book. Not only because of Salazar's reaction, but also because of that of everyone else. Since all the founders knew about the chamber and the basilisk, things are certainly going to get interesting. ;D And their reactions to Dumbledore's (and indeed every teacher's) unresponsible behaviour is something else to look forward to...

Good luck with it; I can't write accents to save my life, so I've got enormous respect for those who do.
Yeah, the teachers, especially Dumbledore, handled the whole Chamber opening and Harry being the Heir really badly. It's going to be fun to write.

Just finished reading what you have done so far and like it. To write a story set in such an early time can't be easy, you have to always keep in mind that they won't know many things that are a normal part of our lives - even the wizarding world, which is behind our times. So far you have managed that very well.
Beyond that, I like your Founders, and the way you showed Salazar is interesting. At least his dislike of Muggles has a very real reason, not just pureblood mania, and he can relate to Harry more than anyone there. It's going to be interesting to watch how he is going to react to all the abuse and the stuff Dumbledore put him through.
Another detail that stood out was Salazar not having children. So, Riddle is at best a descendant of his sister, if any at all? Wouldn't it be funny if the Gaunts and their ancestors had lied about their parentage? That really opens a lot of possibilities - and a can of worms ;D
Anyway, I look forward to more.

Thank you very much. Yeah, I keep having to go on wikipedia every few minutes to see when things like tea and pumpkins first became popular. It's good fun though, I've learned quite a lot.
Trust me, none of them are going to be very impresed with Dumbles' handling of the situation. There are quite a few explosions in store.
I've got a lot planned for Sal's revelation about not having any kids, though it won't turn up til the second book. I can't wait to write that one; there are so many things that will change.
Well, thanks again for reviewing. I'll try and post the rest on here soon.

I read the first two chapters and I think it's quite interesting.
I've never read a founder's fic before so yours is really interesting to me. I love the founder's personalities. I wish we learned more about them in the books. I mean, everyone said they founded Hogwarts, but what were they really like? I loved Salazar's conversation with the trio about him not being evil. I think Salazar was just misunderstood.
Can't wait to read more!

Wow i love this story. I've read a few RtBs with the founders before but your characters actually seem real. I especially like how you make Salazar Slytherin completely opposite from what he seems like in the books. I;ve always believed him to be misunderstood when i read the books. Please update soon.
PS this is my first post! Yay!

Welcome to the forum! And thank you very much for your review. I always thought there had to be more to him than we learned in the books, so this was a chance to change a few things. I've written 17 chapters, but I haven't finished posting all of them over here yet. Here's a link to the story on ff.net though: www.fanfiction.net/s/7660939/1/The_Founders_Read_The_Philosophers_StoneEnjoy

After realising that you have posted more on FFN already, I decided to sneak over there and read what was available there. Seeing that I don't know how long the story will still be over there, I'm going to review properly later on here when you post the chapters.
Still not through, but for the moment, I just want to say that I enjoy it immensely. I really like your Founders. Who would have thought that I could end up wanting to hug Salazar? He's really a dear, and it's sad that his legacy has been twisted beyond recognition. I just hope they can do something about it when they return.
Oh, and would you be surprised that I am entertaining myself with dreams of the Founders returning with the trio to their time to kick some butts in Slytherin and elsewhere, including Dumbledore and Umbitch? A fun pastime, if nothing else.

Thanks, I really appreciate all feedback I love writing Salazar; it's so much fun to line up everyone's preconceptions and smash them all to pieces. Harry and the others are definitely going to be doing something about that when they return. I've got so many ideas for how Sal could deal with the people in the future. And there are so many of them, Dumbles, Voldie, Snape and Malfoy to name a few. They're going to be in for quite a shock. Thanks again.

Nice story you are writing, Isilarma. When I first came across it in the FF.net I was totally amazed with this fanfic. I was waiting for every chapter. And when I found a new one there I was happy like a small child. But, unfortunatelly, one day I came and found out that the story was deleted. I was so sad but then I remembered about this forum, so I decided to come here. And here I am. But as I understood your story has been deleted here also and you decided to write something new. I would like to wish you luck with it. And if you decide to post it somewhere else, please write where, so I can enjoy your stories more. P.S. Thank you for your great fanfics. With love, Elizabethy.

Hi everyone, sorry I've been so late in replying to all these. Real life has been a bit hectic recently.
I'm very sorry, but I'm not going to be continuing anywhere. A lot of sites are cracking down on the copyright issue now, and I don't want it to be deleted again. Thank you for all you support.
I'm currently planning a new story where the trio travel back in time and meet the Founders, but it's not going to be ready for a few months and it won't be a RtB.
Once again, I'm really sorry about this. Thanks.

Is there anyway you could continue the story and send it to people who PM you? It seems like too much of a waste to give up on such a wonderful story. If you don't I understand, but please reconsider.
