I'm a night owl. I really should go to sleep though as I need to leave the house at 7:30 AM for a doctor's appointment.

The title of this thread is so accurate. I'm trying to re-read one of my favourite stories on there, but I'm having difficulty because it's taking forever to go to the next chapter.

There are times when copying the story on your pc is the much easier solution ... even when it is only to read, not save it.

And again it seems I will have to wait an hour to read on ff.net...

That really sucks, Cody. FFN in general sucks for the most part. Then again, I just might have some sour grapes in regards to that site, so don't mind me.

You'd not be the only one, my dear. After all, this site exists because we all have an issue with FFN.

Apparently my story is glitching on FF.net. I've gotten several PM's telling me the last two chapters I've uploaded won't show up, it just says Chapter Not Found.

I've had that problem before with that sight!

I think the reason it's doing it for me is because when I uploaded, they were registered as chapter's seventeen and eighteen, but then I deleted two authors notes from the chapter list, so now their fifteen and sixteen.

It's a little odd all these problems. I haven't been on FF today since I'm currently a little busy traslating from English to Irish, you'd think I would know with my roots

Lol. I've checked FF occasionally, but for the most part I ignore it unless I get an email for a new chapter.

can anyone explain to me why FF is showing stories from years ago (abandoned ones) as new ones? or is it just happening to me? It's not just you. I've been getting stories that have been completed for years showing up in the new stories list. I'm just putting it down to the complete failure that FF.net is.

I wonder if they are beginning to "double" the old stories somehow to hide how many stories they have deleted

Not sure Kitty, I noticed that last week. I added a few stories to my phone, got half way through and then realized that they were all old abandoned ones.

It's strange, yes, but I have no explanation for that. (The one above was quite tongue-in-cheek).

It's a little odd all these problems. I haven't been on FF today since I'm currently a little busy traslating from English to Irish, you'd think I would know with my roots I LOVE Irish! Especially the music. I can sing a long, but I wouldn't know what I was saying. I'm trying to learn a little Gaelic, but it is hard coming from American English.

To be honest, I love a lot of different languages, even if I can't understand what they're saying. British English, French, German, Italian, Latin and Russian are my favorites to listen to. Gaelic is rather lovely, as well.

I'd like to learn a bunch of different languages, probably the one I want to learn the most either being Russian or French

French is horrible in my opinion - it looks nice, but the difference between spelling and pronouncation is even worse than in English. It was giving me a headache when we were on holiday there last month! And with Russian, you have to deal with the kyrillic alphabet as well. (I can transcript it rather well, but not understand it)
