...epic fail.
I stopped reading a fic, after reading this sentence.
"i left this mostly the same just checking spelling for any of you who still complain about spelling i dont care much plz get a life not very thing in this world has to be perfect."
Honestly, the person can't be called an author.

The story is called The Wrong Twin, written by What If 24. It's an authors note in the seventh chapter.

Honestly, the person can't be called an author. *closes eyes in pain* Honestly, that's horrible! But then, there are still dozens of people who are raving how that is the best story ever, even when there's not a single sentence without mistakes, so why should the authors think they do something wrong? *bangs head*

Read the Book story, where the characters (Harry etc.) read the HP books.

I would have *somehow* forged at least a grudging alliance between the following people Fred Weasley George Weasley Remus Lupin Sirius Black Severus Snape Because the thought of the mayhem that bunch could wreak if they worked together SCARES THE CRAP OUT OF ME. Seriously! The combined innovative thinking and capabilities of that group ... *shivershudder*. EEP. That's all I'm saying. These people also could have been in a sexual relationship (with Remus/Sirius/Severus), with the three mentoring Fred and George.

I also agree with the Monarchy thing, though I can see some Pureblood king misusing his power over everyone.

If there was a Monarchy, there would have to be a law to prevent that, say having the King or Queen swearing on their life or magic not to try and eradicate certain groups, or something like that. There could also be a council, elected by the people, who could try and make sure that the King or Queen isn't abusing their power.

I wish there was less ignorance between wizards and muggles. Wizards should try to understand how Muggles live and vice versa. There are all these Muggle repelling spells and for some reason, that bothered me.
I also wished the issue of abuse/bullying was addressed. Both were kind of glossed over in the novels especially bullying. Hogwarts must have a crappy bullying policy because many were abused in some way-Harry, Neville, Luna, and Hermione were all bullied at some way. And didn't anybody check on Harry to see whether the Dursleys were abusing Harry?
Those are the two that come to mind. But I was also sad to see Fred die.

I would have made sure an adult who cares found out about Harry's home life and done something about it (preferably Snape but I could see many people having a problem with it).
I'd also make it so that wizards were actually very in tune with the muggle world and were masters at blending in. They'd mingle with muggles effortlessly, especially the criminals. They'd commit crimes so much easier if they knew about things like Forensics.

The relationships would be more developed, and not just relationships between couples. I mean like the relation between the Marauders and Snape per say. Sirius and Regulus's relationship. Or James and Lily's relationship (though that's still a couple). I'd have developed the relationship between Dumbledore and Aberforth early on to get an idea that Dumbledore was troubled in family aspects earlier.
Also, I'd try and make Dumbledore more of a leader than a manipulator. Someone who could still be complicated and flawed, but less idiotic.
And Voldie would be more of a psycho. Seriously. I wouldn't develop his past, leave it sort of mysterious. Develop a bit of his school years. Show his fascination for torture and killing. Make him into a sort of power-hungry kid, but hint at it. Then show his real sense of craziness as an adult more. Show how he hunted out Death Eaters to join his group. Show his inability to feel anything and thus his lack of guilt and remorse, while playing around with a few 'humane' qualities that would maintain the balance he needs to prove he's just a human.

I would kill Ron instead of Sirius, Fred and maybe Tonks. Why not Remus? He walked out on his pregnant wife and then claimed that one of his best friends would of done the same, when in fact James died for his family. Sure he came back, but he could of walked out again. Imagine if Teddy did inherit the werewolfness of Remus. I reckon he would of left. Why Ron? Never truly liked him, sure he was funny but...I would have easily swapped him for Sirius and Fred. Agree that I would develop Ginny's character much more and may of made her and Harry at least be sort of friends in The Goblet of Fire. Yes, I would get rid of Grawp. I would of made Severus see the cupboard under the stairs during occumancy (did I spell that right?) lessons. Might of made him actually recognise him as Lily's son too. Harry and Neville become friends earlier (shortly after Ron's tragic death? Or before?) - actually, why didn't they kill Tom with a mandrake? Like the order wears invisible earmuffs and then just throw them at the death eaters? Have Harry cast the Avada Kedavra to kill Voldie, not the disarming spell. I think he could conjure up enough hate for the man that ruined his life since the age of 1. Sirius and Harry bonding and have a happy ending for Sirius (his death was the only thug I cried at in the books) OH! Most important one. Have Peter Pettigrew die a most horrible and painful death, and Umbridge gets turned into a toad. Everyone's happy!

She was going to kill Ron off. If I was JKR, I would : CHANGE THE WHOLE STORY......J/K, LOL! Anyway..... (1) Change Hermione's relationships. I don't see her with Ron at all. Yes, I do read Hermione/Ron, but only if it really really done right, but I still don't see her with him in canon. I would have put her with Harry, Neville, or one of Ron's brothers. She and Ron act more like siblings than a couple to me. (2) I would not put Harry and Ginny together either. I actually like the way Titanrules put them in her Veritas series and that is how I see them. (3) I would not kill Sirius, Fred, Remus or Tonks. They are powerful people but she made it look like they were weaklings when they died! AND, we didn't even get to know how Remus and Tonks died. (4) I wouldn't have stopped at the end of the battle and then had a "nineteen years later" epilogue. I would have showed a little of what happened after the battle (the clean up, the couples getting together, ect.) and then did an epilogue, but not so many years into the future. (5) I wouldn't have had it all in Harry's POV. I would have delved into the minds of Ron and Hermione. Probably delved into the minds of the secondary characters as well. I would have switched scenes when Harry wasn't with Ron and Hermione, showing what they were doing when they weren't with him. Especially during the Deathly Hallows when Ron and Hermione went to the Chamber to get the fangs.

(5) I wouldn't have had it all in Harry's POV. I would have happily KILLED for a chapter in Snape's POV. For serious. I mean, hell. Ditto Sirius. And McGonagall. Also, Flitwick. Seeing how these people saw events would have been ... yeah. Me wanty.

Completely agree about all five points, mountaingirl. And particularly the fifth is a very good one. It would have enabled her to write some interesting parts if she'd used a narrator's POV instead of Harry's only. So many wasted chances ...

It would have enabled her to write some interesting parts if she'd used a narrator's POV instead of Harry's only. So many wasted chances ... oh yes, but then we wouldn't have much to write because it probably would have already been written. Maybe it is a good thing she had them the way they are, so we could have something to add.... oh, also, if I was JK Rowling I would definately change how the movies went. Actually if I was her I probably would have written the script myself, found myself a producer that fit my needs (not one that would go and add and take away things and actually listened to me). I probably would have gone the independant film way so that I wouldn't be under much of a contract. I would also have made sure that the films were by the book and had all the major parts. I hate the fact that they took out a lot of scenes that were really major. Like the dragon situation and the whole detention scene in the first one, they took out a ton of scenes from COS that should have been in there, They also took a lot out of the fifth film and the Deathly Hallows films. I hate that they took Peeves and Charlie out of the films totally. I also don't like how some of the characters change over the course of the films. Lavendar was played by a African -American girl in the first wo or three, then a caucasian in the rest. If it was me, I wouldn't have kept her the same through all of them. I wouldn't have just let the people do the film, I would have been there every step of the way.
