Just finished reading the whole story so far and like what you did. Particularly the inclusion of Gideon and Fabian is nice; they are quite a bit of fun and going to get along with the Marauders famously 
Of course, now I wonder if someone is going to draw the right conclusions when they get to PoA, considering that the letter told them not to include Pettigrew and what it said about Sirius.
Then I hope someone can get through to Percy and make it clear why he was way too pompous and stuck-up. The first explanations that a prefect has to let some things go was a good start; he's still young enough to learn to do it better.
Dumbledore was rather quiet over the last few chapters; I'd have liked to know what he thought about Snape's behaviour in class. Oh well, I can't have everything
