Depends on the story really. Sometimes I really like it especially if it adds some humor to a drama or hurt/comfort story but sometimes it just annoys me like when it's taken to far.

I know what you mean. There are authors who write stupid things, just to make it way over dramatic. I think if any character screams "NOOO!" out loud for anything less than a death or injury, it's over the top.
