They finely got their heads out of their Arse and came with a way to inform us of issues without using the main page. I just found it as it was not there earlier today. But they now have a Blog blog.fictionpress.com/ we will have to wait and see if they do indeed keep it updated. They have also come out with a Twitter account as well twitter.com/fictionpress so also see if they will keep it in use as well. |

Oh, really great idea. I always check the homepage for infos ...
On LJ, you can subscribe to newsletters from the maintenance team, that way you get all infos reliably and know what they are doing (in advance), when it is over, if all went well, if there might be some problems because of it ... So much better than what FFN was doing so far.

True there, I don't get LJ's as often now but that could be because I have not really logged in over there lol..
But not sure how this will work because I checked earlier cause it was about half an hour earlier that I could not do anything to load the pages, and hoped they did a notice at least on Twitter but had nothing.

Not too surprised, as far as I can tell they didn't overexert themselves in keeping their users updated before, either. Maybe it's just another attempt to distract from all the bad stuff happening.

Is FFnet completely down for anyone else or is it just me? It has it's spells, it is doing okay for the most part today, so while I will not say it is Just you, it could just be that particular server you entered on. |
