hmm, that is the other thing that I'm getting sick of. Not only the CU but the TSA and how they treat people, especially people with disabilities. like that little kid who was in a wheelchair because of a broken leg, made him go through a pat down and terrified him, wouldn't let his mom or dad comfort him. It makes me sick what the TSA does for security and some of it we don't even know is a no-no...... I believe they go too far with stuff, some of the things they do are ridiculous

Always found it weird when they pull the knitting needles out of old ladie's work (which by the time they can put new ones in is probably ruined for good) because they are such dangerous weapons. Right, such an 70+ lady is such a dangerous terrorist and going to attack everyone with her needles ... On the other hand, they don't notice young men taking long knives or pistols with them. They just don't have a proper measure any more what is necessary and what makes sense, I think, and they either over do it or work sloppy.

Common sense has flown out the window years ago and I don't think it will ever come back.

That's mean! It's annoying when they did that with my ear, but to force a terrified little kid to walk alone through the pat, and not let the parents comfort him. Is mean.

The TSA is a joke. They bugged my mum, my sister, and me when we were travelling, but let these shady bikers go by! The guy had multiple piercings on his face and a shady big Hagrid-type jacket, but I had a pencil case with a few pastels and some pencils and pens, oh, let's check the scary teenager's bags out

That just drives my opinion home a bit more. Mountaingirl is right, common sense is getting lost. Somehow I think the evolution is beginning to go backwards ...

for the brit here, what is the TSA? TSA stands for Transportation Security Administration is the airport security. I would assume other big travel places use it as well, but it's most in the airports.

That just drives my opinion home a bit more. Mountaingirl is right, common sense is getting lost. Somehow I think the evolution is beginning to go backwards ... I look at yahoo news (I know it isn't reliable...but I have to see the headlines everytime I go for my email and can't help to look at some) and I facepalm on most of the stuff I see. It is ridiculous what people complain about and all. We are loosing our rights and our privacy over petty things! I understand the TSA crackdowns after 9/11 and all, but still we need to keep some dignity in there! I won't even get into how doctors are telling us what we can and can not do. I'm irked everytime I hear the phrase "what needs to be done......" It is like they are playing god. Makes me wonder what they are being taught in medical schools, how to save a person or how to control someone's life.

Ugh, don't get me started! Have a yahoo account, and when I am not at home and have to log in there directly to get my mails, I keep rolling my eyes about the so-called 'news' there. We have so many political, financial and social problems, and all they are talking about is why starlet x shouldn't wear this dress or how starlet y looked so horrible because she went out without a pound of make-up in the face. Do we have no more serious problems than that??
As for doctors ... there is exactly one I trust. Everyone else ... I could write a long essay about why I avoid them at all costs, but I'm already nearly falling asleep, so I'll spare you for now.

Yeah, the good old days. I believe 9/11 is when common sense flew the coup.....I think the whole situation scared people into being judgemental and thinking that everything and everyone is bad.

I myself have cerebal palsy. I don't walk straight, I got diagnosed with a seizer disorder as a baby. I had them heavily until I was about seven. But I've had medication for my seizers since I was eightteen months old. In middle school I got diagnosed with scoliosis. A couple years ago I found out I've got ostio pina. I've always felt bullied because of everything I've gone through. Like people would talk about me behind my back and they didn't even know my sitiuation that's what I've always hated. I can't trust people for said reason because I'm so afraid that I'll get backstabbed. I mean when you get called a "crippled bitch" I guess that ends the thought of trusting people.

It's really sad how judgemental and cruel people can be. It's not as if any of us all has chosen the disabilities and illnesses we are suffering from, after all! And calling you that ... no, I'd avoid people like that at all costs.

Yeah, but heres the thing I went to school with that kid for years even had a few classes with him in middle and high school. I may forget what he said but it's never forgotten. I haven't spoken to him in years now so it's all good. No matter how much their comments hurt I was used to it. The staring, the talking behind my back, the judgements when they didn't know me at all it was like I was a freak and no one stood up for me. So I had to do it myself. Having no friends will do that. I can count on my hands how many people I trust.

Understandable. With experiences like that, one becomes very careful, and people need to prove that they are trusthworthy.

People can be so cruel. I have thyroid disease myself so I know how people suffer due to sickness. What happened to treat people the way you want to be treated? That seems to have vanished as I've gotten older.

That went out the window, together with most common manners, if you ask me. For years I have noticed now how even normal courtesy is discarded by a lot of people. Not all of them, mind you, but too many.

They simply might not realize that it doesn't work that way or they might be working on it. If you'd like, I can email you my RtB stories as I edit the chapters.
