I just want to know, is it FINALLY over? or is it still happening? Im getting the updates for whats left of my reading the books as quickly as I can, I do it almost daily now in the evenings, to check and see if theres any updates, otherwise yeah...this is just getting ridiculus.

Not sure yet, but I have backed up pretty much my whole favourites list plus some more ... and I keep an eye on the number of fics on there and check the number of stories overall. After deleting at least 774 since May 28th till yesterday (hard to say, as people still post new ones), the number did get up again since yesterday, but then, it's weekend, and whoever is doing it may have something better to do.

It is still happening. I'm debating ArcticPuppet right now. My story may be deleted off of FFN, but at least I've got backups...

No it's not over, in fact these terrorists have seemed to inspire ff.net to get of their butts unfortunately and investigate what's going on with the rest of the site and crack down on the rules. Another story I am reading that is not a characters read was updated yesterday with this author's note
Author's Note: Okay, I'm updating again so soon 'cause I wanted to let you all know that FFN is doing a sweep and a lot of stories/authors have been deleted from this site because of their content.
It doesn't sound like they are referring to just the characters read stories. People like 'Heart' and 'Bee' might have started the terror campaign but it looks like FFN themselves are now fully onboard with them and are set to destroy their own site.

It seems to be about the M stories and which are more MA and all that stuff ... pretty much anything to do with sex, if real or just existing in the imagination of these people. And yes, IMO they destroy their own site with the way it is handled. Not wanting something there is one thing, but deleting without any warning, particularly when they cite rules they have been ignoring themselves for years, doesn't do anything for my trust in them.
