The merciless plot bunny has been bouncing around all day in my head. Last night I was giggling like an idiot because of Harry/Ron fics and some Sirius/Remus when I noticed Peter was always in the background of Marauder stories. Cue the insane idea of Harry going back in time, and proceeding to fall in love with the most unlikely prospect- Peter. Of course, this would be the not-death eater Peter. I looked up on Fanfiction and realized there was only one, ONE story between Harry and Peter as a romance. And that one was a crack-fic... I already have several scenes planned out  . |

Oh, it does sound insane! But at least it would be origina, right?
Personally I know only one story where Peter was a good guy, or rather, a Death EAter who turned his back on Voldemort and in the end helped to destroy him. But admittedly, he's not the character I'd look for anyway, so that doesn't say much.

One of the reason i want to focus on him, mostly when I read about him, he's an idiot who can't hold his wand right. But he is in the marauders, and is an animagus. That has to say something, doesn't it? I think that he was an amazing friend like Remus and Sirius. Personally, I suspect personal loss that caused his turning. I'm thinking of making him a pure-blood, who's father is caught out without his wand in the middle of a a muggle store where another muggle goes crazy and kills many- including Peter's father. This could lead toward a hatred and mistrust of Muggles as a whole...

Maybe. The idea has its merits. Though I suspect for him a lot of it had to do with power. As Sirius put it - Voldemort was the biggest bully in the playground, and I can see him wanting more power. Though why he in the end went far enough to betray his friends is hard to see.
Another possibility would be that he was approached by other Death Eaters and offered something if he switched sides. Be that power or maybe money or whatever ... if he wasn't rich, it could work. Actually, that could tie into your idea - no father any more, no money ...

I like that. Of course, as this story takes place before any of that happens- he's still an innocent and I think that, after harry manages to not glare fiercely at the sight of him, he'd be able to become friendly, I can work on more then that later . |

I like the idea, it is funny that you should bring that idea up but i looked for that pairing the other day and i could not find any real stories with them in. After all if people have no problem setting harry up with voldermort why has no one paired him with Peter
