Really? I think my mum's beautiful. But then, I'm biased since she's my mum. And I don't think of her sexually! *gags at the idea*

I kind of like the idea of Depp playing Sirius. Something about the idea works for me. Or maybe even a Death Eater, he can do crazy quite well. Or maybe he could have played someone like Mad-Eye, but with a lot of make-up.

he could play anything bar a female of course. he's just that creative i guess you could say when it comes to playing a character. he truly does get that part right.

Gotta agree there wings. He and Alan Rickman would have brought so many new depths to their character... Man, I really wish he'd been in the movies now!

I can see Depp being a good Moody or Sirius but he'd have to be someone very quirky. I couldn't see him in too serious a role.

Yeah, I agree. Maybe somebody a bit kooky like Dedalus? I would have loved that.

*snickers* Didn't even think of Dedalus but yes, that could work, though we wouldn't see him very much. *pouts*

Yeah, thats the one drawback. I just think he'd be great, very funny and strange, which he does best. I doubt he wound have taken a HP role on though- a few of the bigger british actors and actresses didn't to get into the francise because there are so many of the biggest british people in it, it's like a production line. I know Kate Winslet was offered the Grey Lady but she refused...

Speaking of Sweeney Todd. Maybe they should have added Depp in somewhere. ? Just wondering. Why would you think they would put him in a HP film? He's an American actor. Also, I think he sucks at the British accent.

I just think that with half of the character's that he's played he'd be brilliant in HP as a dark charcter or something.

I didn't realise he was American for a while. The first films I saw him in were POTC and didn't see him in anything else for a while, then I saw him in Sweeney Todd (which is another one where he has a British accent).

I love Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow, just like I think Keith Richards was good as Captain Teague in At World's End.

I'm used to hearing his rough pirate accent from POTC since that is the only movies I watch him in and haven't seen Sweeney Todd and haven't heard him speak in a British accent that wasn't overrun with pirate stuff. I've seen Will Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Alice in Wonderland. I didn't like both, I wonder how they thought up to change such classics like they did. It kind of turned me off on Depp in any movie other than POTC.

I don't like Alice in Wonderland either and I don't like that they changed Willy Wonka but I love how he played both those roles, even if his version of Wonka creeps me out sometimes. Have you ever seen The Secret Window? That's a pretty normal film, for him at least. For anyone else, the word normal would be a bit of a stretch in regards to that film. I only saw it for the first time recently and loved it. It's not exactly recent either so it's not Tim Burton-ised.

It sounds familiar. you know, I sometimes wonder if the people who played in the Tim Burton films were forced to do it. I know I wouldn't be caught dead in some of those movies. I believe Depp would be the first to sign on to one, but I wonder about the other people. lol

It really was terrible. I think the reason I disliked the changes in Willy Wonka so much is the fact that I'd seen the original so many times and loved it from a young age.

I wonder how many kids are afraid of the dentist after that. Also the Oompa Loompas are supposed to be cute....not looking like gremlins that will eat you alive!
