The implications of the love potion and Voldies evil

Merope's use of love potion on Tom has to have had some sort of detrimental effect on Voldy.
I don't know whether I'm right or not, but I would have thought that a baby conceived while one or other parent is on love potions is going to have serious mental problems, which Voldy obviously does.

It could be possible that the love potion alters the emotional capabilities of the child. I've seen a few RTB's suggest that Voldemort's birth in a loveless/fake marriage resulted in his being a loveless/fake person.

That would give Dumbledore at least an excuse why it wouldn't harm Harry to be left in an even more loveless home without fearing a repeat

Funnily enough, Luna's usually the one who suggests it, which makes me roll my eyes. Luna's not wise, she's open-minded to the point of being loony Some things, yes, she says sound wise, but she's not a fountain of wisdom who can only quote brilliant things

Meh, it's too easy to refute that idea though. I doubt Dumbledore would ever argue a point that easy to be smacked down.

There's a forum based on Tom on FFNET (it's dead ) And I posted a theory and cute scene with it. You can skip over the scene but it makes people laugh ;D

Oh the random OC is like a mini Tom clone but not as out of her fucking mind.

So you guys know how Riddle supposedly can't understand love? Well came up with this theory that he can't but it's totally his mom's fault.

Hear me out.

So I was thinking that if Tom's dad was under the influence of Amortentia - supposedly the strongest love potion in the Potterverse - for such a long amount of time that eventually it would seep into his system and into his fluids. All of his fluids. Including his sperm.

Now Tommy was conceived from one of love potion doused sperm he'd basically have that in his system through out the whole 9 months of his development one can only assume one of to two things happened.

1) He became rather vulnerable to it (No. But that'd be a funny thought)

2) He developed an immunity to it.

Now here's where chiz gets interesting. Amortentia is - as mentioned before - the strongest love potion in the Potterverse. Even the smell differs from person to person depending on what that person is attracted to. Now a potion that strong has got to be based on something the person already has. It probably mimics the person's ability to love and magnifies it and then directs it toward a certain person.

Now if it's based off your ability to love, then the only way one could be immune to it was if they couldn't love. Or if it was pretty damn hard for them to. Like really freaking hard.

So if Tom had an immunity... at the very least, he'd be one of those people who went through life not ever really getting 'love'. At the max he can't 'love'.

So yeah...

Here's something funny to read now. Remember my OC shares a lot of similarities with Tom including the way they were conceived, so if my theory apples to Tom it apples to her. Which inspired this scene.

TR: Are you saying you think I'd tell my - let's say five year old - kid I didn't love him to his face?

JS: I would.

TR: That's cruel.

JS: No. That's the truth. Cruel would be letting the kid live his life thinking his parent loves him when they don't.

TR: Well I'd inform him eventually -

JS: That's cruel!

TR: No it-

JS: Yes it is. Letting that kid live his life thinking you love him and then telling him you don't. You're going to traumatize him!

TR: Cause telling your five year old son you don't love him is soooo untraumatizng.

JS: Dorea tell him I'm right.

DB: Uhhh...

Charlus Potter: Hey Dorea! I was wondering -

JS & TR: Potter!

CP: I didn't do it!... What didn't I do again?

TR: Potter what would be more traumatizing? Having your parents telling you they don't love you when you're five o-

JS: Or after having your parents telling you the love for let's say fifteen years going, " Oh, we lied. We never loved you."?

CP: *Looks at them weird* I think anyone who is seriously having this conversation... should never have kids.

I nearly died when I came up with that last line.
