So I was puttering around on FF.net earlier today and I found a couple of Liberty's Kids stories that cross over with Harry Potter.
While the idea is a good one, and personally one I wouldn't mind dipping my metaphorical quill into, what do you guys think? Are the two a crossover in which it's impossible to write well?

I think you could do it. Really, almost anything can cross over with Harry Potter.

Thanks Kuma. I've started on the first chapter, yet there doesn't seem to be a stopping point. You know, the place in the chapter where it just seems natural to stop? Part of me hates when any of my chapters are less than 1000 words, but then there's another part that feels that it makes the chapter seem long and drawn out.
Anyway, agreed on the bit of anything can cross with Harry Potter. Well, not anything. I've never read a Bible/HP crossover (and there are a few Bible fanfictions.)

*snicker* Yeah, I don't see Bible/HP stories working...

*chuckle* Me neither. Though, if one was a good enough writer, I'm sure they could make it work.
Say, Kuma. Would you be interested in looking over what I've got so far in regard to the previously mentioned chapter? Another set of eyes might be able to see mistakes my own have missed.
...Why do I sound like a stuffy old person from 1789?

It's doable, though at the same time you could probably successfully crossover most series with Harry Potter. As long as you don't go overboard, such as Harry Potter/Twilight/Little Red Riding Hood/Fairy Tail/50 other series. You'd be surprised at how many people attempt those giant crossovers.

You mean, all those genres are crossover? *Shudder* Oh no, It'd just be the two mentioned in the title of the thread.

Then, I doubt you'd have any problems. Though... Maybe I should try one of those giant crossovers.... Nothing like combining 50 different series for a first story. It wouldn't be hard to handle at all.

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you; had to eat dinner and my parents wanted to watch PoA again. We're having a Harry Potter marathon. Thanks for looking over the chapter. If I may ask, what's the style of the fic you're working on?

Well, my two main ones are both kind of dark, and deal with detailed child abuse. There are moments of humor and goodness, but both stories aren't always gentle.

Here's the summary for Hogwarts United:
The day after Harry's name comes out of the Goblet of Fire, all hell breaks loose! At first, it seemed the school's turn against him would be his biggest problem. But then, a book is sent to them from the future and opens up a whole new can of worms! Can the students of Hogwarts, Beuxbatons and Dumstrang survive the oncoming storm, or will everything fall apart?
Meanwhile, things are looking rather grim in the future. Even with Voldemort's defeat, Harry Potter's life is still in grave peril. And this time, there's nothing to keep him from dying.

Honestly, I'd love to read that.

Well feel free to. I'm currently working on the chapter for it, and my other story, A Better Understanding. Just be warned that Hogwarts United has Molly, Ginny, Dumbledore and Severus bashing. Normally, I don't have a problem with Ginny, (except as Harry's love interest), but a friend requested the bashing. So far, Ginny hasn't been mentioned too much, and I'm considering pulling the Ginny-bashing out because my friend and I hardly talk anymore.
