As the majority of us have written characters in the HP world (or other fandoms) I was wondering what characters you find the easiest to write and are your favourites to write?
In my case, the characters I seem to find the easiest to write are Remus, Hermione, and strangely enough, Percy.
I think this is because I'm a bookworm and enjoy studying. Also, I haven't always exactly fit in because generally, I'm mature for my age and only recently have started getting to know people closer to my age as the majority of my childhood friends were all a few years younger than me.
I think I have the deepest connection with these three characters and thus find it easiest to write them as well as keep them fairly in character.
So, is it easiest to write the characters most like you, your favourite characters, or something else?
This doesn't have to stick with just HP. Feel free to discuss other characters from other fandoms.

I find writing in General P.O.V easiest but I like writing for unknown really characters like Marcus Flint, which is usually why I like Harry more with more unknown Characters

Sirius is the one I find easiest to write, for whatever odd reason.
Snape is my favorite to write, though. Mostly because he's such a snarky bastard, you can get away with really rude and mean things coming from him that no one else would do or say. And I enjoy keeping him a snarky bastard, but redeeming him somehow or other.

I find it easier to write for Sirius, Hermione, Harry, and George because I can relate to the four of them better.
My favourite to write for would be Sirius.

I find Snape incredibly difficult to write because I couldn't make his dialogue as intellectual as he actually sounds. My vocab isn't the best. While I know what most words mean, I find it difficult to incorporate them into my writing style.
In general, Ron is probably the easiest to write, but I have a trouble keeping anyone entirely in character. I handle my own made characters much better which is why I generally enjoying RPing and writing original fiction over writing fanfiction.
Third Person is also the easiest to write as you can work with it more and don't have to stick with one person's thoughts and make them seem like a genius detective by making them notice everything. It's easier to describe a place or object when it's not in a person's thoughts. But that's just me. I know other's find it easier in First Person.

Sirius and Harry are the easiest to handle for me, I think, and a few others aren't too bad. The one I have the most problems with are Dumbledore and Snape. I find it very hard to write how Dumbledore is always putting on that grandfatherly act and talking a lot without saying much while wriggling himself out of accusations. I've been always rather direct and don't have the understanding and patience for it. And Snape is so vindictive, bitter and sarcastic - not an easy combination for me, either.

I can get Snape's attitude easily enough, just not the language he uses.
I think Draco is easy to write, Lucius too, though maybe slightly less than his son.

Might have to do with which characters we like most and think the most about, don't know. Or which are most similar to our way of thinking. Or a combination of both.
However, I have noticed that I find it hard to write smaller children or people permanently joking around.

I can't write jokers because I'm not a very witty person. I'm very sarcastic or come out with random things that make no sense. No good at comebacks or anything like that so I fail at funny people.

Same here! That's exactly what I mean. For me, the twins are harder to write. Or Luna, as I am a rather matter-of-fact person.

I have a hard enough time getting into my head let alone any particular character so it is just easier writing from a general point of view even when certain characters are alone or being followed.
I still love writing for obscure characters the most mainly because there isn't alot of back story there and you can make it up.

I can for the most part get into any character's head, except for Harry dammit!
I can write long paragraphs in Ron's POV, essays from Hermione's POV, novels from the POV of Ginny and the twins, but Harry. A sentence or two is about as much as I get through before banging my head on the wall repeatedly.
The easiest way though to get into any character's head I find is if you analyze their lives, fill in the blanks from what JKR hasn't told us, and then start to write. If you have a sufficient back story in your head, it works.
Oddly enough, it's easiest to write Harry's perspective when he's angry for me.

I find that a lot of people over-exaggerate Dobby's enthusiasm and energy. And they also make his speech worse than it actually is. It really bugs me when they do that.
It was one thing about The Road to Heaven by Huskywalker that bugged me. Her house elf's sentences were completely jumbled up so they made no sense at all. I sort of skipped over her speech entirely.

Speaking of Dobby - why do so many fanfic authors use this horrible "youse"? I can't remember seeing it in canon?

That's what I mean! His speech isn't that bad! It's barely even wrong, he just speaks about himself in third person a lot and says people's names a bit too often.

Exactly. But I have seen people who insisted youse was canon and kept using it.
Grrr. When I am typing in the window at the bottom of the page, the site keeps suddenly jumping back to the top and I have to scroll back down. Is that just my work pc, or happens that to others as well?

It has happened to me before but I don't know why it does it. Is it every time for you? Maybe it just doesn't register that you clicked on the box properly. You might have to wait a few seconds after clicking on it.

No idea, sometimes it is more than once per message, then again I can write message after message without it happening. Sometimes I wonder if it has to do with the moving adverts.

I always find Hermione and Remus really easy to write, just because if you merged them together you would get me every time. I completely emphasise with them and can understand how they feel in different situations because I generally feel the same way.
I'm also good at writing Ron during jealous thoughts, because I can understand where he's coming from most of the time.
