In truth, I like both Ron/Hermione and Harry/Hermione, though I'm more partial to a Golden Trio triad than anything. Each of them contrast and compliment each other nicely.

I'm all for Ron/Hermione myself. I think it was pretty clear from the get-go that they'd end up together. If you didn't see that by the end of CoS, then...*whistles* I think of their bickering as a good thing. They don't allow everything to build up inside, if they did, it would just end in a complete blow up. This kind of reminds me of the relationship I have with my best friend, we bicker about things, but it's not very often that we completely blow up at each other. And does the relationship Hermione and her parents really have anything to do with the relationship between Ron and Hermione? We barely have anything on her parents, and the only indication she has a bad relationship with them is because she's barely with them. That's nothing conclusive, imo. Hermione is a witch, her parents are not. They're practically from two different worlds, I'm sure they understand that, but that's just a guess. I really don't think that JKR cared about Hermione's parents to be honest. They weren't important to the story, but Hermione was. In the end. Hermione and Ron get married, they have kids, and they seemed pretty happy in that epilogue. Tada!
