how do you know Voldemort did that to him? I don't, which is why i said if it was canon. It probably isn't canon at all but I doubt he went through the servitude to him without ever displeasing him and we've all seen what happens to people who do that. It may not have been crucio but the fear and stress itself is enough to create wrinkles. ah, ok

I just hate how it came from nowhere for her to be the love interest of the main character. With how little I learned from her in the books I thought Luna should have come before her cause she had more mentioned of her personality. Heck most of the personality I give her comes from fics cause there was practically none there.

I like Ginny, and I like Harry and Ginny as a couple. Her actions towards Ron and Fleur shows that shes far from a Mary-Sue. Her main problem is that she was underdeveloped in the Half Blood Prince. Her development in Order of the Phoenix was pretty good, we saw a new side of her from the other books, funnier and a more enjoyable presence. We saw in OoP that she wasn't scared off Harry and didn't back down when Harry went into rage mode. (Unlike Ron and Hermione) When that happened I thought she may be a future romance option. We also saw her bravery and stubborness and quick thinking in the battle at the ministry. We saw her true character in OoP. However the main problem in HBP (I think anyway) is that we don't get to see why Ginny made Harry so happy when they were dating. They needed more development as a couple to make it more believable. I can see peoples annoyance with Harry and Ginny as a couple (doesn't stop me from loving the pairing though But its a bit of a stretch in my opinion to say her character is underdevoloped. And I hate character bashing in general, for good guys that is, with villians you are kind of meant to bash them

I don't like or hate Ginny. I just feel that she wasn't introduced to us enough.

In the beginning, she seemed more like a fangirl with a huge crush on the BWL to me - one she had even before seeing Harry for the first time. I'm wary of a relationship coming from that sort of crush and found it strange that Harry, who hates his fame, would marry a woman that was such a fangirl before even knowing him, just on basis of his fame.
Harry's sudden interest in her came out of nowhere and was odd. While we of course don't get to see every interaction with her, if she was going to be his wife, the relationship should have been developed a bit more. Seeing that the books are showing mostly his school time and she was also in Gryffindor, even if not in his class, it shouldn't have been so hard.
I've been reading a number of Harry/Ginny fanfics, but noticed that most interaction between makes me impatient - somehow that pairing bores me.

I've been reading all your thoughts about Jinny, and can't help but notice that almost everyone keep saying that Harry/Jinny relationship is based on her first crush. Really? 'Cause it seems to me that we all were 11yearolds with crazy crush of our own. I certainly was. But I outgrew it. So why can't Ginny do the same? I agree that in the first and the second (though already less) she had it, but later she began to mature, be herself around Harry and get to knw him not as The Boy Who Lived, but simply as Harry.
