It's more than a purge - it's an epidemic - my Fave Stories list was at 535 last night, it's now at 456.

And they just deleted 5 stories by ginnyrules27 and both Point Given's stories as well.

You know, I can kind of understand that they are deleting some of the more risque and badly written stories, but they need to give a one or two week heads up before deleting them.

So I checked the number of HP fics that are on ff.net and it is at 578,000+ when yesterday it was at 584,000+.

Anyone know if ff.net is still purging the site? It has been quiet the last two days and the HP section is starting to fill back up again.

I hate that they're doing what they're doing they should have made a stand at the start of these stories appearing if they had a problem with them. On the other hand the creation of this site as necessitated by the hated purge has led me to several new stories I hadn't found on ff.net and thankfully most of my favs have moved onto here as well. So I'm going to look on the positive side and smile or else I'll be in tears for all the hardwork that's been put into stories and lost because of no back up.

No they are still doing the purge. I have a Hogwarts reads story that was deleted today. I am trying to figure out how to add my stories here. I have never posted on a forum before. So this is all new to me.

It appears for now that the purge has stopped, It hasn't changed much from 857,000+ At first I thought it had gone down to 400,000 Then realised I'd the M filter on.
It's not just the "Reading" books, its any fanfic that also 'violates' the rating system, but they could just add MA and warn those whom stories do violate terms to change it.

The good Fics are getting deleted but the Crap ones aren't. Where's the logic in that?!

Only FFN would think that's logical. If they want to drive off all the good authors, they are certainly doing a great job of it.
Was away for a few days and my favourites were down from 145 to 130, too - and that's just what vanished since Tuesday.

Yeah, trying to keep track who went where, so I don't lose my favourite stories, or rather their continuation. Quite a lot of bother, but I am fed up with FFN anyway.
