There is a link at the top of the page that says "bookmark." You also have to go into your settings and change it so you get an email alert when this thread is updated.

Summary for new readers:
After third year the trio, their parents(alive ones), Remus, Sirius, Amelia, OC magical, Dursleys, McGonnagal, Snape and some people of little Whinging read the books.
Harry is a girl and the pairing is Bill/Harry. The books have changes. Dumbledore is curropted not evil. While I might reprimand some characters I'm not planning to bash them.

Yep, it's been gone for a long time already. Sad, really, I liked the site, but it seems they were overwhelmed with their own success and couldn't handle the amount of work, not to mention the financial part.

It is. Well, I think they didn't expect that so many would switch to their brand-new site, it was growing too fast. And I don't know if the CU had a hand in it, too.

they took my RtB story down because it had a non story A/N (I thought they'd be more interested in the fact that it was a RtB)

Actually, I got the impression that they just reported, and FFN took the story down with varying excuses. The RtB story of a friend of mine was taken down - not for being a RtB, but for being a songfic. And I am pretty sure there was no song whatsoever included.

No, it was reported by someone from the CU for a non story A/N and they didn't even sign in! As Prof. McGonagall said:- "COWARD!"

Oh, I believe you, but it seems that things aren't always exactly the same. These CU members usually seem to "review" a story to tell the author they reported it, but sometimes they don't even bother to do that. Some log in, some don't bother.

I think we also have to remember that CU isn't the only forum out there. There is anywhere between three to five forums like CU. Compared to one of these forums, CU could be called a joke. This other forum will report a story if there is a terrible plot, spelling/grammar errors, or if they don't like you. They also don't log in to leave reviews and some don't even review.

Just using the CU as a blanket name for all of them, as it's the only one I know.
And obviously, FFN bends over backwards to accommodate them ... sad, really. Sure, some stories have horrible spelling and grammar, but still, that's not the way to act.
Oh well, lately I don't even feel like reading much in the way of HP fics, which means, I don't spend much time on there anyway. Instead I am back to reading LotR fics on SoA. At that rate, FFN might actually manage to drive me off because there's so little left for me to read.
