What quirks or weird things do you do in real life that you think no one else does?
When the microwave is going I like to go collect everything else I'm going to have to eat and then rush back and open the door before the buzzer goes off.
If I'm sleeping in a bed I need 2 pillows not one.
I can sleep without sticking my foot or leg out.
My book collection must be organized alphabetically by series and the books in the series must be organized in chronological order.
If I read the actual Harry Potter books I must read all 7 in order
Does anyone else have any interesting quirks?

Like you I need 2 pillows not 1, and organise my book collection alphabetically by author, and any books that are part of a series go in chronological order, but other than that, I haven't noticed any weird quirks.

I swing my left arm (Like a left 'hook') when I do something impressive. I need to chew on something always.. Except gum. I cannot chew gum. I always look sleepy (Or so I've been told) when I'm wide awake, and when I'm sleepy my eyes are wide open. I cannot go in public without my wrist bands. Eight different ones all on my left wrist. Of course those don't matter. What's really strange is that I can predict the future!

Only one, but it is weird. If I'm all wet, then fine, but I can't stand to have just my hands wet. Whenever I do the dishes, I dry my hands after each two or three. Once when I turned the water on before I got in the shower, I got my hands wet, so I dried them on a towel, and then got in the shower.

I have to be listening to something. I really can't have silence when I'm alone, it just bugs me. Even if I'm not paying attention, I have to have a youtube video on or music or something, and it has to be in the background. Even if I have a game playing with the music loud, I turn that down and put on a comedian from my laptop.
I can't sleep with anything other than my comforter and one pillow. My sheet is basically piled in a corner, and it hasn't been on my bed since forever.
I organize my laptop religiously. It drives me crazy to have any kind of clutter, so everything is in it's place on the desktop.

I have to sleep with a pillow over my head I wash my hands around 10-15 times a day when they are not dirty I keep the volume on my TV at an even number I am know to stare blankly at objects when there is a lull in activity Have a tendency to chew on my lip when bored Wring my hands when nervous or freaked out ...and I have a major aversion to any kind of sea food even though everyone in my family loves it

Have to sleep with two pillows
When I'm sitting down with my feet up (recliner or something) or laying down and I'm nervous or tired my foot (mostly my right) with wiggle around. My mom says it is a family thing; she does it, my aunt does it and my grandma does it.
I always have to have a clean paper before I write or draw. Even it if it has a dot on it I won't use it. I HATE scrap paper!
I have to wash my hands after break each egg. Breaking 5 eggs means I wash my hands 4 times, sometimes I can make myself wait and it will be every two eggs.
I pick at my neck or collar bone (the skin) when I'm bored or nervous.
I have to read while in the bathroom (I know...TMI...but it is still a quirk!). sometimes I do logic problems or something but I have to do something while in there! lol

I have to wear socks to sleep. I have to have my volume at an even number. I can't stand food touching on a plate. If it does then I can't eat it. I can't drink a drink without my little finger sticking up. I can't touch tins because they freak me out. I have to have four pillows on my bed otherwise I take forever to fall asleep.

I can't stand silence. I'm the type of person that can study with the T.V on.
I can't stand feet. I hate touching feet and looking at them.
I have to have all the lights off when I fall asleep otherwise I can't sleep.
All my books have to be from the tallest in the back to shortest in the front.

oh! I also don't like to drink things with ice unless it comes that way. Like if I'm in a restaraunt it is ok for the drink to be iced, but all other times I don't like ice in my stuff, unless I'm really thirsty for something cold. most of the time I like warm drinks.

I'm really picky with my food, so I hate restaurants. I dislike noise in my home... But I don't mind, when I'm out of the house. I love silence. Seriously. I can find to turn off my hearing device, so it's completely silence. But I turn it off mostly, when I don't want to listen my sisters bicker or my mother's scolding. Rude, I know. I hate warm drinks. I'm trying to like coffee and tea in the moment. Heard that you like it more, if you try it. Want to like coffee, since it's embarrassing that my younger brother is drinking coffee and tea, whereas I drink water or milk.
Well, these are perhaps the quirks, I can come to think of ... Most of them are probably not quirks, but honestly, I have no difficulty to think about my faults, but well... It's probably, like when my mother asks about wish list to my birthday, but the ideas start first coming right after my birthday.

I always wear two different coloured socks.
I loathe surprises. If someone tells me that there's going to be a surprise for me later on, I suffer a nervous breakdown complete with tears, screaming and kicking at the wall. Once the surprise is shown to me, all I'm happy about is that the torture is finally over. I'm never happy about any "surprise gifts" themselves.
I always start new projects in new notebooks, even if the old one isn't filled yet. (Which is why I have so many half-used notebooks lying around.)
I always take a specific plush toy along when I'm spending the night somewhere that's not my home. (There's a plush toy for each of my friends places, one for youth hostels, and one for hotels.)
I collect dices, and pencils (in all variations).
I bite my nails when I'm bored.
I love to hold my fingers into running water. (I once spend half an hour flicking a finger through a play of water in an office building... )
I love to walk. Seriously, this is a quirk. Even if given the opportunity to go 4 miles by bus, I'd much rather walk the 4 miles. If the weather's nice, I walk a whole hour to the train station, even if it would be only 10 minutes by car.
- Gosh, listing these things up like this, I sound pretty deranged... ;D

Reading all of these posts is making me realise that I have more weird quirks than I'd thought.
- I put all books in alphabetical order by author, with those in a series in chronological order. - my music collection is split into compilations and artist albums, each section in alphabetical order. compilations by title and artist albums by artist. - I collect all sorts of things, ranging from packs of playing cards to pens. - I can't stand silence, so have to have music on when I'm doing anything, except when watching TV. - I need two pillows when I go to bed. - I have to take a sudoku puzzle to the loo with me - I like to read something while I'm eating
I can't think of any more at the moment but I may do eventually.

I thought of a few more.
I always cross my legs when I sit. It doesn't matter if I'm in a chair, on the floor, or on my best, I have to cross them.
I hate blood. If there's a gory movie or show on I have to leave the room.
I'm afraid of elevators. I'm afraid that the cable holding it up will fall and I'll fall to my death. I'm ok if I'm going up a floor or two, but anything higher I'll take the stairs.

I always cross my legs when I sit. It doesn't matter if I'm in a chair, on the floor, or on my best, I have to cross them. I do the same thing when I sit also. The funny thing is that I do it unconsciously even when I try to sit normally lol.

I agree with that elevator thing- I'm terrified of the cord snapping.

Thought of another 3 myself.
I always have to tuck one leg under me when I sit at a computer table. Even when the chairs not built for it. Plus I always go up on those automatic stairs and walk down normal ones. And I do the same with lifts. I ride up and walk down.

I have to have my certain squashy pillow to sleep well. I can sleep without it, but I prefer not to. The only time I don't take it with me when I'm spending the night, is if the vacation requires a plane trip.
I also do the microwave thing most of the time.
I do tend to sit with one leg under me most of the time and it's generally my right leg.
And yes, I will often read or do some sort of puzzle in the bathroom. I generally have my iPod touch in my pocket, so that's what I'll use.

I still sleep with a stuffed seal and I'll take it with me to college. It's the the item that's necessary for me, but I do prefer to have something soft tucked in my elbow at night because of the position I sleep in. In a pinch, I can either use a small blanket or jacket or sleep with nothing, but I like my seal the best.
