Before I saw the light and decided I loved Harry Potter, I was convinced it was a horror story. I'd seen my brother's all watching it before, but only snippets. Of course I only saw the bad scene (Graveyard, Acromuntelas, Basilisk, and Dementors basically) and put it together a a huge horror film. I though Voldemort was the Half-Blood prince who was literally half blood (Like, half of his body was bloodless). Then, one day I picked up the second book and fell in love
What a foolish child I was in the beginning.

It's a friend of mine who was a fan that introduced the books to me, I didn't want to read it, I told her 'it's for children, I am not interested' and basically refused to read it until she convinced me (or rather has wearied me out) and I read Prisoner of Azkaban and loved it and asked for the other books. God she was so smug after that, it was really irritating.
