Petunia could take someone's place as well. Harpy/Banshee/Horse/Giraffe hybrid that she is.

Fred - Padma Patil... Because I don't 'know' her as well, I do her sister Parvati, who's shallow though, but well... I sacrifice the twin sister, we don't know anything about xD Remus - Dolohov! Since Dolohov was Remus' killer, I switch them off... Tonks - Greyback... I know Greyback is kind of Remus', but honestly... he changed her husband to werewolf xD Dumbledore - I would kind of switch him for Umbridge... I know most on this site dislike Dumbledore, but I seriously love him, although he is pretty flawed, and would probably not tell me a thing >.< But well... We've all got different taste.

You just made me realise that no one wants to swap Dumbledore's death against someone else's so far ;D I've made peace with his death and he's on his next great adventure. I love the guy to bits but I think he'd be happier dead than alive, him and Gellert are probably mending their relationship

Well.. That's true, now you say it. Dumbledore is happier dead than alive, as he lived a long and difficult life, and Harry has technically taken his role in the world. I mean, people will always lean toward Harry now, even though they aren't in war anymore, and he's a adult now, so he can manage it And now Dumbledore can reconcile with his parents and Ariana, although it makes me pity the only surviving Dumbledore, Aberforth.

Poor Aberforth... Ariana needs him so they can feed the goats together!

Ernie should have died instead of Colin Winky instead of Dobby Umbridge instead of Tonks Percy instead of Fred Fudge instead of Remus
Vernon and Marge can just die in general.

See, I don't mind Percy, and I don't think Fudge deserves to die even though he is the world's biggest prat. I've been reading some fics that are making me hate Vernon slightly less, lately, but Marge can still go to hell with her disgusting dog.

See I knew I wasn't the only one who thought about this stuff. I mean its like Rowling said, this is war people are going to die, characters that you like are going to die. But its still fun to imagine you're fav characters lived and others took there place.

Oh, it definitely is. Never really forgave JKR myself for killing so many of my favourites, but not saying anything about the bad guys at least being punished, never mind killed instead of the good guys. So it's fun to switch the deaths to a more tolerable version.

Well, that's not true. We know Bellatrix died, at least.

Bellatrix had to die though, otherwise Voldie's death and she'd step up to be the new big bad.

Which ones do we know died? Voldemort, Bellatrix, Pettigrew are the ones I remember, and Crabbe. But what about the others? With most of the Death Eaters, the books are too vague. They are "brought down" or "taken down" or "floored", that sort of expression, which doesn't really tell me if they were killed, stunned or just knocked out. Umbitch was never officially punished for anything, JKR only told "off page" that she went to Azkaban. Lucius seems to have gotten away with everything, as usual. It was a bit dissatisfying not even to get the impression that the bad guys were really punished, or that some were killed, not just the good guys.

I trade Molly for Lily because Lily wouldn't BS around with the mollycoddling because I believe she would give Harry a more honest assessment of what's going on instead of Molly's sugarcoated cover-ups.
