I like to write them as business minded. They try to help you out, but if it is a bad business deal, then they wouldn't do it, if you understand what I'm trying to say.

From how I see them, business has to always come first for them. Which would probably mean that they are nicer to the really good customers than to the bad ones. And they are probably not above some tricks.

Ruthless is what I always thought, and goal-oriented, the ones we see are business-oriented, but I rhink if you put a goblin to it, they'll get things done or die.

I see the goblins as being like a mixture between the Ferengi and Klingons from Star Trek. They will do anything to make profit, but they are obsessed with honour, so any goblin that betrays either the bank or breaks his word, is considered dishonourable.

I definitely agree with the honor part, but I think it was more that the bank was power (economy correlates to power) so that's why. I can't wait to explore goblins in Kuma's RP game.

I'm thinking of exploring them more in depth, but I can't write it correctly. Every time I try, I end up hating how I explained it, and I trash the chapter.

Why would the wizarding world put a race of creatures known for frequent revolts in charge of the money supply? If the goblins revolted again, the economy of Wizarding England would be shot.

Plus most wizards look down on others races and underestimate them, they probably think that Goblins are under their control and can't rebel any more. They are idiots and have no memory.
