Just checked, it took about a month for 500 new members. We hit the 1000 on the 20th of June. Really amazing how this site grows.

Not even full two months, actually, Point Given's account was made on May 29th, so that should be when the boards were made, too. That means it took about 22 days for the first 1000 members. Unbelievable, isn't it?
Besides, right now we have reached 22,470 posts already. For that short time, that's impressive, too, particularly as there are so many users who don't really post.

Yes, remember it. It was annoying, especially since it was my birthday the 28th... Bad birthday present from Fanfiction... Was pretty annoyed.
I agree it's very impressive... I'm starting to try to post a bit in the threads...I've just returned from a month holiday, so (;

I'm wondering how many people are still migrating from ff.net. When the community hit 1000 members, I thought that the biggest chunk was already here... and yet, there are 500 new members.

I came from FF.net, and I'm urging people to migrate from there whenever I can. I can't even remember how I found out about this site, but I just joined.

And look how quickly the site's grown. We went from just a general forum and the RTBs to having a forum for challenges, a forum for betas, a forum for role-playing (which seriously needs more people), a forum for one-shots, and having to split the general forum. And that's not counting all the amazing fanfiction on this site. Just want to say, I love this site, and everyone on here

Same here, gnovella! My post count and the amount of time I spend here should tell you everything you need to know about how I love it here

I agree. I barely ever go on ffnet any more, and the only reason I still log in to that site is to check my favourites and write reviews.

And Gnovella I actually have you to thank for since I was checking out your story (fighting for the future with friends) were you posted that you'd be coming here. Well, I followed and got sucked in. I was never this active about posting stuff etc that I've surprised myself. Big thank you to Point Given!

Well, shucks *blushes*
I'm glad I brought you to the most amazing site ever. And I think everyone was surprised at the amount of posting they started to do on this small site.

I got here the same way - although I've forgotten whom I followed here. I remember, I saw the link on someone's profile and decided to take a look around. Back then, there were only a few authors here, but I thought I'd hang around and wait for more to come. Guess I made the right decision. ;D ... thinking about it, I think I followed Dimcairien here...

I know! I came here fairly early, June 2nd or something but didn't make an account because I didn't think I was going to read more than one or two fics... I was proved wrong though. Still can't believe how many RtB fics there are on here!

And, the people here have actually inspired me to write my own RtB! (RogueNya did, to be precise.)
I'd never ever have tried that if I hadn't come here. So, in a way, this community is helping me become a better writer.
And let's not forget all the wonderful reviewers we have here. They more than make up for all those guys who just read and never post anything. You are all great!

I love this site. I barely go on fanfiction anymore. I only go to review and check out my favorites list.

someone sent me a message on ffn to move here because one of my stories were deleted. I love it although it's very different from ffn.

One of my reviewers pointed me over here, though I think I also got something from Point Given. I still have all my stuff on ff.net, so I'm also updating over there still simply because I still have a lot of readers/reviewers over there.
Anyway, congratulations to Point Given for creating this forum and for allowing over 1,500 of us to find refuge here.

Hm, I think I followed Point Given directly, though I got the message about this site from a few other sources as well. Never regretted it By now, I only check my favourites on FFN now and then and read new updates to stories I have been following anyway, and write some reviews. But no scanning the newly started stories any more, I am just not in the mood to bother with them any more than necessary. Over time, I'll probably give up FFN altogether, or only follow a very few authors.

I still check ff.net regularly, because I follow a few other fandoms that haven't moved away from the site. But I haven't been checking the HP section any more since coming here - so I guess that counts.

Hmm.. I arrived 31th May x) The link came up on Facebook, so I linked. It grew really fast with authors and all that. I've been on holiday for a month.. Hadn't a computer for the first two weeks, and wauw, it grew fast.
I still check ff.net, mainly because there's several stories there, I like.

I got it through PointGiven's FF account. I'm still a member of FF for some stories that I've got in my favourites etc. I almost deleted this account the other day when modifying my profile.
