Hey, I was wondering what everyone thought of the HP Lexicon site. There is a lot of interesting facts, but I was wondering if it is good info or not. I would like to use some of it in my stories.

I like it, but I only use info that has citations.

I've never used it, I prefer the Harry Potter Wiki.

I used to use it a lot before they tried publishing their own book with all the info on their site. But even with that I still go every now and then, beyond that I go to the Wiki now days as tends to have more info a lot of the time.

I've never used it. I use Wikia. And sometimes Wikipedia, but that's seldom.

I like Wikia, but it doesn't give me the info I need. Lexicon goes more indepth with the stuff, like giving actual dates for things (I know these might not be accruate). I do use Wikia though, I don't mean I don't like it.

I love HPL! It helped me out a lot while researching things for Hogwarts United.

HPL is where I usually go for lists and quick summaries, and sometimes ti read the character analysis and interpretations. Their layout of the Burrow was an immense help to me when I write.

My impression was that the HPL was a bit more detailed, and I find it easy to find stuff there, so I mostly use it. The alphabetical lists are a big help when I want to refresh my memory how to spell a name and am not sure.
Wiki is nice, but I always liked the HPL layout more, too. Plus, there's a similar part for the world of Tolkien on Wiki, and when I looked over it, I noticed a number of mistakes in the German version, so I was a bit wary of it and kept for HP to HPL from the beginning.

The lists are the best, I love having it on the side when I write duels or describe a classroom or lesson. I use the Wiki for things like quicj appearances and glances at dates. Sometimes I use it to double check a character's abilities.
