Slowly, checking every corner before turning, Eleazar found the stairs and climbed them, making sure to keep his feet near the wall so that the stairs wouldn't creak.

"Very well, I'll take you through the barrier." she replied, hoping that she wouldn't regret it. Trilling softly, she got on his shoulder and flashed the both of them back to the forest.

Marigold went into the kitchen, only to find nothing out of place. Frowning, she turned and went down the hallway, which yielded more...unfavorable results. "Sweet Merlin's ghost!" she cried, nearly dropping her wand in horror. What she was seeing was once a small child's room. The bed, the floor and even the walls were painted with splatters of blood.

Hearing the cry of his partner, Eleazar half-turned and called down, "Marigold, What is it?" He stayed frozen, ready to rush downstairs if she needed help.

"I think you need to see this, Bellard!" Marigold shouted, horrified and disgusted. She had just come across the first body - that of a small child. It appeared to have been badly mutilated, so that making out the gender was impossible.

Quickly, Eleazar raced down the stairs as quietly as he could and went to the source of her voice. As he entered the room, he stumbled. Normally, he had a pretty strong stomach. But not many people could see such a horrible sight without feeling a bit queasy, "Merlin... How could anyone do such a thing?"

"I-I don't know." she whispered, looking around the room again. It was then that she noticed the very small, bloody foot prints. "Wait...look at these!" she knelt down to get a better look. "They're awfully small, don't you think?"

Eleazar leaned down to get a better look at the footprints as Marigold did, he nodded in agreement. "Either the child tried to run off, or this is the culprit." He tilted his head, "They don't look like a child's... But they do seem familiar."

Marigold's eyes narrowed in suspicion - she was now in full auror mode. "Evian Glons." she whispered, preforming the magical signature charm. A glowing burst of energy surged through the room, revealing faint traces of brown - the killer hadn't been using magic. More importantly, they couldn't have been human. If they had been, it would have been blue.

The auror growled softly as he saw the brown energy. Of course it was a magical creature, what else could be this demented? "Dammit," he cursed angrily, "Of course it was one those hellish creatures. " He looked down at the footprint, it was small- but the noticed that while small, it was long. It reminded him strongly of Gringotts, "A goblin?" He suggested.

I could feel Kasper calling me and I had no choice but to answer the call. With a flash of ice I found myself transporting myself from the forest to The LighteningHouse as Lexie liked to call it.
"Ah Ace, it's been a while. How is my Daughter?" Kasper asked the Phoenix.
"I do believe that she's currently in the heat of a passionate battle right now, there was some trouble last night in the forest but Lexie's perfectly safe. It seems she has a beau in the form of a cantaur named Harrigan."
"BATTLE?! You swore she'd be safe Acidious! Don't tell me I need to bring my Lexie home to the safety of the mansion?" Kasper roared in anger.
Acidious gulped, Kasper could be one fiercly protective man when it came to his daughter, "NOO! Everything's fine. It was just one overjealous wizard wanting a bit of power. Now if you didn't hear it properly I told you that Lexie was currently busy mating. You may become a Grandaddy".
"That's it! Bring her home right now! I don't care how in love she is with this man, no daughter of mine will fall pregnant without being married!"

(( Oh wow... poor Lexie...))
"Most likely." she replied, unable to keep the anger out of her tone. "They're the only ones with feet that small." Marigold clenched her firsts. Of course it had to be a magical creature! They were the only ones foul enough to be this cruel!

Closing his eyes, Eleazar drew in an angry breath. Finally he opened them and got up, "We need to find the other... bodies. I doubt this monster left the parents alive."

"Right." Marigold replied, her voice sharp and cold. "Let me know if you find anything. "And with that, she left the room in order to search the rest of the lower floor.

Eleazar returned to the top floor, deciding to search for the master bedroom.

And so, Marigold's search continued. And the more she looked around, the more her anger grew. This is why Maxwell wants them gone. Humans are dangerous, but these monsters are sick and twisted.

After a moment, Eleazar entered another room. He felt sick once again at the sight- there were two people, the mother and father. Both dead and a rather horrific sight. Taking several breaths he called in a shaky voice,
"Jones! They parents are... are up here."

"Merlin!" Marigold swore, darting up stairs as fast as humanly possible. Heart pounding, stomach churning, she followed the sound of Eleazar's voice.
Now, Marigold had seen some disturbing things over the years, it was all a part of the job. Seeing blood and gore shouldn't have affected her so much. But one look at the bodies was enough to make her retch.
"Damn goblins." she choked out. "Those poor bastards didn't know what hit them."

Half turning to Marigold, Eleazar replied, "I sure hope that Gringotts won't be run by such... sadistic creatures for much longer, how could we allow such precious possession, family heirlooms to be touched by bloody hands?"

Marigold sneered in a way that would have made Maxwell proud. "We've been fools in the past, Eleazar." she said, using his first name. After what they'd seen today, she'd seen him in a new light. "Our ancestors tried to be compassionate to their kind, we've tried to be fair. But things just keep getting worse and worse, and now we're paying for their mistakes."

Eleazar nodded in agreement, "We'll just have to fix their mistakes then." He turned around and said, "I wonder if there are any more... people in the house."

"We might as well find out." she said, frowning. "These people deserve a proper burial."

"They do indeed. And they deserve the knowledge of knowing that the treacherous creatures that did this will be taken care of." Eleazar didn't realize it- but his attitude toward Magical Creatures had been severely changed since before the battle. Before, he had merely wanted to protect the innocent. Now... Now that he knew what that could do, to his little sister, he wanted them gone.

Marigold nodded her agreement, and went back downstairs. This was turning out to be a rather long, unpleasant day.

Eleazar followed Marigold out of the room, though instead of heading downstairs, he continued his expedition upstairs.

Marigold wandered through the house, finding little else to deal with. Eventually, she came out to the back yard, and what she saw made her stomach clench. "Eleazar, I think you should come see this!"

Just as he finished the last room (And was happy to find no more bodies), he heard Marigold. This time, knowing no one else was in the house, he raced loudly down the steps and outside. He was about to asked 'what' when he turned and saw the sign....
"What?"

The War Has Begun.
Marigold felt a hot lick of rage as she read the words. "Fucking goblins." was all she could mutter. Everything else was lost to her growing fury.

"Oh no," Eleazar replied to the sign, disregarding that it's author could not hear him, "The War began long ago. Now it just got worse."

"We should probably head back." Marigold suggested, clenching her fists so hard that her palms were bleeding. "Our boss needs to know about this as soon as possible."
